Hi lish, the lady from cake in a cup is not able to help me bake cupcakes for my solemnization already because she will be away for business trip. it was a last min thing and she cant reject too. so she had refered me to her friend. now waiting for her friend to reply me.

rainbow, i didnt have a chance to taste the cupcakes yet.

clint, the cupcakes are ranges from $2.00 to $2.50 per cupcake, depending on which flavour you prefer. Extra additions like sugar or fondant decoration can cost between 50 cents to $1.50 a piece, depending on how much labour time is involved to make it and also the complexity of the design.

i think she is quite flexible. so i think u just tell her hats your budget, how many guest you have and what type of design you prefer so that she can advise you and both of you can compromise to settle the cupcakes for your wedding.

mine was like this too. i did exactly the same time mentioned above and finally came to a conclusion and both of us are happy =)

sorry ladies, but does anyone have any ampoules to sell to me urgently? previously there was a discussion on this on another forum and i remember the price was about $10 per ampoule, so i was very shocked when my MUA said it would cost total of $80 --> $30 each for my husband and i for ampoules, and $20 for the eyelashes. i am already on such a tight budget, i'm afraid i really cannot fork out that money, and then what will i do? my makeup will run by outdoor shoot? oh dear oh dear. i am so stressed out! please email me [email protected] if you have any to spare, thanks!

krazimitzi>> hi there, i'm not too sure how the ampoules work, but my MUA (who is also the bridal shop owner/designer/MUA) does not use ampoules. when I asked him, he say no need, make-ups can last..

not too sure if this will assure u that u dun really need ampoules.. another MUA taught me a tip, which is to get those foundation puff (those which are kinda short and furry) to dap away ur perspiration is very effective and does not smudge or remove ur make-up..

oh yah.. another cheaper alternative.. u can get make-up primer (usually comes in tranparent or nude shades) to apply before make-up, apparently to let make-up stay longer too.. i got frm Body Shop a transparent one..

hey j0yle_t, really?? i tried it for my trial make up (as i was going out for a casual shoot the whole day) and it seemed like the makeup really lasted all the way till night when i went out dinner with my family up till the point i removed it before i went to bed. i'm not sure if anyone else had this experience that the ampoules "seem" to work haha! maybe it is just psychological?? :S

are you using vaughn? he is the only person i know is bridal shop owner/designer/mua hahaha. you are kind of right that it does not really assure me leh... wonder what i should do...

but thanks for the tip of the foundation puff! i assume its those fluffy loose powder kind? my foundation puffs are all non-furry haha. ok will definitely bring one along on that day! thanks again!!

krazimitzi>> i'm with Blush Blush.. i had my trial make-up at bt 2pm, went out all the way till bout 9pm, make-up also stayed on..

the foundation puff.. hmm.. how do I explain.. it's the not long, not short fluff kind.. haha~
they usually sell the "refills", so u can get like 2, one for u and one for ur hubby to touch-up without putting on more foundation! =)

dun worry too much!

My MUA for taiwan PS used 1 ampoule on my face, 1 on neck/shoulder, 1 for htb. Since she's very experience, i just went ahead with what she suggested. On hindsight, don't think the neck/shoulder needs the application.

I think the foundation puff is a good idea

cos tissue might smear the makeup.

It's coming to Sept, has anyone started to print invitations or choose their gowns?

hi krazimitzi,

actually most professional MUA dun encourage the use of ampoules. the correct method is to prep your face with moisturizer and primer and ur make up should last whole day!

however, if u really wan to try the ampoules, i have alot to spare!! hahahaha. i use it weekly as i feel it moisturises my skin better. i usually buy them in boxes when i travel so i can spare you one for about $5! =)

hi ladies, in the end i gave in and paid the money. it was too tiring to go collect the ampoules at another location before going to the studio. actually now i really don't know if it made a difference or not, maybe it is only psychological? thankfully i purchased my own eyelashes from daiso - because of the look that i wanted, my MUA gotta use 2 instead of just 1 for each eye, so meaning if i had taken from her i would have to pay $40 for it! now i just had to pay $10 each to put on so it's $20, half price. i still think its exorbitant. but considering i do not know how to put on false lashes and it seemed really hard to put on TWO on each eye and make sure they stay there all day... aiya... there was a bride on another forum who said she paid her MUA anyways because it's less hassle - i think i gotta say i agree with that! just glad to purchase the eyelashes from daiso. they got a really good selection there! oh, and, when my MUA show me her selection of eyelashes, frankly looks exactly the same as daiso's. maybe they are of better quality - but then again you're just wearing it for one day. my advise is GET EYELASHES FROM DAISO!!!

p.s. i do not work for daiso, i think it is just such a great idea

Hi pinkcoral..so how much did you paid for the special effects? ;)
At first I thought it was done by moomedia ..until I read your comments..haha

Hi Kate Kwan , I read up their reviews before earlier this yr..and what I can deeply rmbr is that some brides-to-be feedback that one of the coordinator will judge whether you’re rich enough.. =X
so it’s sounds bad for me, but they have very very nice ballroom..
there’s a thread for it..and because that place is still very new, there may not be a lot of reviews.. but however, you can always try to pm those brides who had done their wedding there to get to understand more..

Hi lahgal, I see..but that time the one you chose, you don’t really like at all? get your HTB help you choose! ;) or the one that makes him go “wahhh†means is that dress alrdy!. hehe ;)
