but then most of my friends would know i know more about all this wedding stuff than them :P

ling > good to know that u decided your venue. but should check availability also. Weddings, the most stressful part is the wedding venue. Settle earlier better.

Hi all.. Fruitful day for me.. Went to collect my ROM doc, tried my ROM gown and booked my bouquet.. looks like I'm more or less settled for my ROM.. hooray..

Stumbled upon this website with a lot of wedding and deco ideas.. KK, annisan and ylng3r might be quite interested... take a look ya...

I got my ROM bouquet idea from here..

visha> I also like to buy shoes and bags.. but still not 10! haha..

Darrel> I will definitely go japan to take if I'm you.. haha.. I miss japan!

Thomas> You can try JCS if you really want to take jap.. I'm taking it there now...

Just a note that even if you go to find the house yourself, you will still need to pay the seller's agent 1% comm.. Unless you tell him straight in his face that you are not going to pay him.. but he might not settle the procedures nicely for you.. A bit complicated manz... Quite hard to save this $$$, at the most cut to 0.5% comm..

Chinkerina> Think you still need to wear the heals.. it will look better..

chink > on AD itself, bride need to wear new shoes. Morning, before the ceremonies are complete, not supposed to take off. My only advice is ... wear something comfortable cos you need to wear them the whole day.

booy > time for wedding jitters to set in .. :P

My wife told me to go print flyers and stick into those units that we want to consider buying. Approach the seller directly. She used to be an agent, so she say she can do the paperwork. Can save the 1% on our end, and the seller also dun need to pay agent fee if they are not on exclusive contact with any agent.
Then can nego for a lower price too. But we're quite tempted to wait till june before we start looking again.

I miss japan too. But my friend said he may be coming back to SG permanently, and geri's gown haven't even design :S

that was the first embroidery gown that my wife tried. My wife loved the embroidery very very much. but it was way out of our budget.

thomas: i check NCQ wedding show the perks given is only vaild for apr 2009 to apr 2010 wedding. my AD is sept 2010 u think they will willing to extend the package to us mah?

booy: how much are JCS' charges like? u just started or? duration? points taken on comm part...thanks

rand: approved u liao, u can go see my pics now. I'm not too sure liao in this case, better u check with Huiling. No harm trying imho.

kk/Jaq: oh.. i planning to go those bugis shops to see those deco items..
happy.gif

kk: i am fine with going with u all.. can give each other ideas too..
happy.gif

Darrel: wanted to go tekka mall yesterday one to see deco items, end up staying at home and do my ring pillow..
happy.gif

ylng3r > we wanted to go to tekka 2 weeks ago, but when we tried looking for parking, we gave up. Got appt with my BS also.

traffic that area is horrigible.

Darrel: hahaha nv try to take own transport there.. the parking there is horrible.. that why me and my HTB always park far away from bugis area and walk over..
happy.gif

Thomas> There are a few different kind of courses.. ranging from written and conversational.. to just conversational only.. There's also regular classes like once a week, 2 hours.. to intensive courses like twice a week.. So it depends on your needs.. per sem is around $200+.. http://www.jcss.org.sg/jls.html#RC

Darrel> Feeling a bit jittery when I'm free now.. but once I stepped into office, I will not have time to feel the jitters... haha

You can try to paste those posters.. but might have a lot of nuisance calls.. If your wife used to be an agent, then should be no problem to handle those paperwork...

Then you have to confirm with your friend if he's staying for longer period ya... I love the food, weather and shopping in Japan.. maybe I should consider Hokkaido for honeymoon...

moooooooooooorning

booy > my wife said. Dun stick at the lifts. Go to each and every unit that we may be interested in.. e.g. all the south facing, 12 floor and above units, and put flyer at the grill. We'll probably get a pre-paid card if we want to do that.

Honeymoon, should go as far as you can afford, especially if you like travelling. Once you get tied down with kids, you're pretty much grounded. My sis is going to Australia this year. Think its her first trip since her wedding 6 years ago.

booy: thanks for the info

rand: so if u wanna consider my buddy, let me know ya?

darrel: u are earlier than me...basket hahahahaha. Of cos if we can afford it, we wld also wanna go as far away as we can...but looking at the current situation now, I doubt we can

Morning...

Cat fight between the GTB to fight for the 1st msg of the day ah.. LOL...

Darrel> Looks like you would have to spend more effort in getting the house yah... Gambatte...

Your wife is not bad.. I told my bf at least 2 years before I will consider a kid..

Thomas> Save a bit here and there.. then can go further for honeymoon..

bboy > i just told her .... when to have kids is up to you. But i'm already 33 this year. so if we have kids when i'm 35, imagine how old we'll be when he goes to uni, we both will probably still have to work until they are independent. and thats for the first child only.

then she said ... ok. change of plans. 2 kids enuff liao -.-"

yup me too...told my wife no more time to waste after our AD next yr cos we both not young also liao...me also looking at 2 kids...

actually we wanted 3. thats why we were looking for a bigger house.

But then again, when the first one comes, everything may go haywire again. Its not easy bringing up kids. And somethings, things don't go as planned either.

gd morning everyone!

yIng3r> great! we can arrange a day then go together... =)
i wan to buy those hawaiia leis.

Booy> thanks for the link. i've gotten some ideas from there also. hee. love their color combi. wanted to engage them for my ROM de, but she said booked le.
All set & ready? Excited? =)

darrel> that's a very nice gown....
