most Taiwanese young pple tend to rent esp those who work in the urban areas cos too ex to b able to afford... think S'pore will soon b lidat... But the difference is at least Taiwan property r freehold n ours? most of the time is 99 yr lease...

ya, dawson sky is veri cool looking and u can choose your layout somemore... no wonder it takes that long to construct. but i guess its worth the wait.. =)

nah.. there is no such thing as freehold or 99yrs lease in sg.
the land belongs to the govt and they can demand to want (or buy?) it back as and when they want.

Seems everyone are fascinated with the loft designs at SkyTerrace than SkyVille project. Well, there are only 179units of 4rm loft, aiming for that too!

xiu03> i guess it's a refreshing design. cause my htb is a freelance dj so he has alot of his music equipment setup in the spare bedroom at his place. i'm into computer networking so I have alot of computer stuffs plus my entertainment system is also another computer itself so the spare room upstairs is ideal for us to do our thing without disturbing the spouse if he or she is sleeping. then again from the indicative price shown on the web .. i think it'll come up to closer to the high end of the 400K region so very likely not to get that heh.

the other loft concept i do not get though .. they have Loft 1 and Loft 2 so looks like Loft 2 just have extra ceiling space at the living area .. so will have a wall / edge jutting into the living area? if that's the case, it might be the living room of the other unit and if kids are tumbling / playing there i think it gets pretty annoying.

Dyeann> I tink either the loft units are constructed besides each other or at corner. Then there shouldn't be any issues . Somehow the concept of loft is like massionette. Probably the prices will be high end of 400k to mid of 500k! The steep price is probably due to Queesntown being prime area, and that the 2 projects are built by world renowed architects. Somehow it dun look like hdb flats and the design's comparative to dbss flats/ condos.
Abit side track, my colleague got an en-bloc 4 rm unit at Dawson area which is near to SkyVille & SkyTerrace projects at a cheap price of $258k @ 25 storeys! Lucky her!

Hi, im also holding my wedding in Oct. Signed up with a TW BS for my PS. Planning to go in Mar next yr for the PS. My package includes a wedding gown and evening gown for the actual day. They will courier the dresses to SIN. But im worried that the dresses wont fit nicely as i will be there in Mar so between Mar to Oct...theres a possibility that i might gain or lose weight. So im also considering taking up an actual day package without the photography but i received feedback from some BS in Spore that it will be about S$1k cheaper than the normal packages only. Doesnt seem very worth it...zzz...Im not really enjoying the wedding planning. Finds it very troublesome. I wanted to do away wuth the gatecrashing and tea ceremony but my HTB wants to go ahead with it. Its giving me headache as i've stayed in my current house for more than 2 decades and we have never renovated since moving in. Thus, i feel its bit run down esp the cabinents, window grills etc. Probably i have to fork out $ to do up the my parents place for the actual day.

if you are having your banquet at hotel, see if you can early check in to the bridal suite. you can close the door to the living room area where the guys can play their games there. i suppose that'll help to reduce the noise to a certain extent. you probably have to let your jie-meis know to plan the appropriate games.

anyways if i have a choice i'll do away with the gatecrashing too cause i find it very mean and pointless to "punish" the guys or make them wear bra and paper underwear stuffs. it's kinda like degrading them boys? i know of one occasion where the groom and all the brothers threw up cause of the terrible "cocktail" they were asked to drink. i told my gfrens i don't need that kinda proof that my htb loves me .. i'm sure if your gfrens put their head together, can think of "tasks" your htb need to do to convince them to open the door

I suggested holding the gatecrashing @ the hotel but he doesnt like the idea and still prefers to go through the usual morning gatecrashing,tea ceremony @ each other's house etc. He thinks its a once in a lifetime thing so we shouldnt have shortcuts and would like to go through the whole process. If not, the wedding is like so quiet and boring..Zzz...he is just so weird!

hello everyone.. just want to get some feedback..
do you think if it is ok to hold buffet lunch at my HTB's and my own house and forego the chinese wedding dinner?

kinda of stressed up... due to my complicated background, i'm afraid that my own mother will sabo me on my wedding day. What I meant sabo is.. she is likely to call her relatives from Malaysia to come over but due to limited space, Grand Shanghai cannot expand anymore..

quarrelled with my HTB last nite.. our worst quarrel ever since we met.. sighz..

i'm planning to do that as well cos my family is really veri big!! so bad that we might not be inviting everyone. but my mum thinks it's troublesome to hold another buffet session lah. imagine my late big aunt's side alone will take 4 tables liao, which is farrr too many. =_=

Hi all, im a 10 Oct 2010 BTB and doing a wedding lunch banquet at a 5 star hotel. Can i check with fellow 10 Oct 2010 BTBs that for food tasting, it is common that hotels provide for up to 10 persons for food tasting right? My hotel is giving me food tasting for 6 pax and does not want to budge and ask me for proof that other hotels are giving for 10 pax for food tasting.

Hence, will need some help here for those of you whose hotels are giving you food tasting for 10 pax, can you drop me an email to let me know which hotel and the page of the wedding lunch perks with the food tasting for 10 pax so i can show to my hotel. My email is [email protected]
