Hi,

I'm new here. Any suggestion for good PG to go oversea for PS with good skill and reasonable $$$?

the original gown can be seen from my multiply. i only changed the bodice/lace to black colour. shipping + management fees = $300+ a bit..

i hope it fits me nicely too

i did a simple one so that i can trim it to a shorter dress and wear it for other function. haha...

or maybe sell it away. see how ba. but if it is really stunning, i might wear it for my AD.

i will decide to wear it for my morning or evening AD depending on the WG chosen from my bs.
something diff i guess.. =)

afterall, it’s a white gown…. very difficult will hv another chance to wear it again….

DS>> sell or trim it shorter.. u can even rent it out or keep it for your children. haha...
i think trimming it is the best solution. maybe u dun do a pure white gown, do ivory colour? dun worry abt how to deal with it first, there will be a way out, i guess...

i should be collecting it either this weekend, if not on mon. i hope the quality wont be veri bad cos from the picts and other customers' reviews, they seem good.

as for shoes, u can get those wedges in white colour… got height and more comfortable to wear too….

Pompom: I personally think John Lim is good.... wanted to engage him for AD (cos LP is $6K for AD) but HTB still commented too ex =( ... saw his works on his blog... the MUA Jaqueline Law is quite highly raved but i think she ties up w Tan Yoong tt's y i think my friend's sis got her from TY or LP i aso nt tt clear... . i m more of Lighted Pixel fan cos he always has an amazing way to capture couples...

Missy: must let us know the material ok? if really good, i may aso get ... hee... pls add me in multiply as well.. i msg u mine in FB....

bluey > john lim is the only photographer i went to view after seeing his works. i like them and i think he takes alot of pride in his work. every pic is carefully edited, he even shared with me how extent of editing he will go to, eg. armpit fats haha. i will be making a trip down to lightedpixels too to compare since both of them are cost competitive for overseas photography. i just view Avenue 8's works, kinda like them, very cheery and happy pics... i just mailed them for quotation as well, thanks DS gerl for the recommendation!

one question: do you think it's better to engage the same photographer who does your pre-wedding on your AD?

hope u can quickly cfm ur PG for pre-wedding as well as for AD =)

as for ur qn on whether to engage the same PG for both pre-wedding & AD, I think u got to see both works first… some PGs r more professional in only one style….
to me, pre-wedding is more to personalize and more focus to the couple whereas AD is more to involving all guests and journalistic….
if u manage to find a PG that u like both of his works, it wud be better to engage the same person as both the couple and PG ardy hv a “chemistry†during the pre-wedding shoots…. it will be easier to work with the same person….

personally I like both works from avenue 8 ….

pompom: i think u should view both the AD n PS before deciding whether you want to have different photographers for AD & PS or 1 photographers.... personally, i feel both are good.. but more inclined to Lightedpixel... hee.. but this is individual preference.. discuss with ur HTB as well cos he may offer u different opinions as well....

oh yes.. i went for my final ROM gown fitting today. and tried a black EG that i like really like from YC.
it was actually a "testing" to see if my in-laws will be ok with me wearing black. Bingo...!!

my MIL was ok with it, apparently she thinks its stunning too. BUT.... my FIL said NO! he is against wearing black for AD. SIAN LIAO LOR.... i still thought my EG is settled liao.

sigh... now we can only wear it for PS.
