I have made some survey.. I think it's also very normal to be receiving calls, smses on the AD telling you that they could not attend the wedding due to some last minute reasons.
So I guess, we shall all be prepared for these... At least we will not get too affected.

I think most imptly a day or 2 before wedding just drop a nice sms to remind them. I was thinking of planning my 2 reserved tables as actual tables so that if got pple last minute cannot come, can shift the pple around so that the 2 reserved tables will not be used.
For me I cannot plan the seating arrangement at all. My parents haven give me their list, my MIL is still waiting for my hubby's uncle to pass her the guestlist of his son's wedding and my hubby haven call his friends....arghhh.

40 tables shld b ok ba, tat time my fren took 30plus. juz c whether they can close the VIP rooms or nt. so tat u can use the whole area. at least wun c unnecessary ppl ard. keke..

haiz...ya lolz is like i only invite a few friends then like can't fill up whole table of 10 pax.. aiya very troublesum lolz..
i still a list of pending list: wedding PS, GDL, angbao box and deco of the bridal car and etc...sianz... now the date is drawing nearer & nearer my AD is 3rd Jan "phew" *stress*

i am also a march 09 bride... my AD 28 March.. actually went to see master long and he gave me 12 and 21 of mar.. but dun know why i blur, booked my restaurant on the 28 mar 09... but cant change liao.. maybe destinated hahaha.
March 28 actually not a really auspicious date as indicated in those lunar chinese calendar cos mum say it falls under lunar march which happens to be a mth for ching ming...
Any advise...

Hi girls! Good to know that you are progressing well. I guess i just got tired of looking at the checklist...
Hi Des, am going to take outdoor pictures in Sentosa. That will be the only outdoor location. Sorry, can't be of much inspiration here. Chris of Chris Ling will be our photographer so i imagine that we will take some pictures at Emerald Hill (since their office is located in that area).

ya.. diff family culture ba..my last close fren weddin where i am her jiemei.. her both side relative all got to toast de.. big toast small.. very messy.. u toast the elders then u get AP..u ganaa toasted by the younger ones then got to give them AP..for same generation one maybe don need ba..i don rem.. but for juniors got to ba..after all"married " le.. CNY time also got to give these younger kids even le.. cant avoid..somemore this yr CNY is in Jan..maybe you all can give during AD then CNY don need to give le..hee..

things completed: confirmed invitation card, food tasting arranged (5 Nov), PS done (selection this Thurs), house renovation, bought GDL stuff, preliminary guest list, sent out invitation to overseas guests
Things pending: printing of inserts, PS layout, finalise guestlist, angbao box, the actual GDL, AD rundown, wine ordering, house decoration for AD, mum's AD gown, jiemeis' dresses, minibus rental for overseas guests, corsages for jiemeis, buffet lunch on AD, etc.. still got so many things lor

Actually ching ming starts in early april.. but like what ruachgall said most ppl prefer not to get married certain no. of days before and after ching ming. Are the other dates taken for your restaurant already? Or your restaurant doesn't allow u to chg?

Yeah..there is going to be a wedding show organized by Female Brides at IC..and they will be showcasing the new themes for 2009...however I dun think I will be going..cos I will be signing the bridal package under the 2008 pricing and the prices will increase during the show...so I dun really see a point to attend...unless I go there to see the new themes...

I wont be having 'shotgun' marriage till i got my full body checkup. And somehow i would wan to test whether do i have the vaccin for Hepathis A, B, Rubella as all these are taken during pri sch days, if not getting a booster would be ideal. And i also have never got chicken pox at all, need to vacine tat as well.
My gynae advised tat is best to get my body vaccin before getting pregnant. But getting body vaccin means cannot get preggie for the first 6mths.
Getting pregnant also need to do alot of homework first.
