Ya! I agreed that rings from Love & Co have lighter weight as compared to the others. This is 1 of my concerns too. In fact, after visiting so many shops, I find that Tianpo's ones are quite nice and 'heavy'.... And they have this 5 times servicing card which we can used to re-plated our ring every 1 to 2 yrs. Kinda worth....
GSS will probably be having the same 20% promo for wedding bands. Unlikely to offer more than that. You might want to try surfing the jewllery chains' website to see their past offers. =)
Actually, I not really padang... I will avoid attending weddings but some of the gals that I am inviting to be my jie-meis are already married and with kids.... To me, jie meis must be someone who really care abt me and would go all teh way out to make sure that I have a smooth wedding party.... Check with the elderly at home. If they are ok then u might want to consider asking your married friends. (^_^)

my solemnisation is over last december... my FH wanted a separate event cos not so rushed. and my friend commented that for weddings he's attended, those ROM on same day ones look much more tired n haggard in the photo-taking during the night banquet compared to those ROM on an earlier date cos not so tight and not so stress on AD. but guess may not be true for everyone... my cousins some ROM on same day still looking great!!!

An Chuang items varies from family to family, dialect group to dialect group so every family is different. It also varies from zodiac signs etc.
For mine, the fortune teller say to buy pineapple, tangerine, and another 2 fruits (that we will eat! hahaha...that practical man..) plus an angpow to put $12/$120/$1200. He say don't even need to buy new bed , just new sheets. Then we just place in the designated positions, then we eat! hahaha.....

oh MeiLinG, I have been spoilt rotten as I always splurge on at least 450 thread count bedsheets. It is wonderful, I tell you. You don't want to sleep on ordinary bedsheets already. My mum always say I think I make of gold isit...hahahaha...

i also thought of sending the flowers to old follks home or hospitals...but in singapore, some of these places are quite atas, they may not want 'leftovers' ....
and you need to get a couple of good friends to drive the flowers over...
i was thinking of NUH cos nearby...LOL...

Alexandra hospital is another of my choices, was volunteer there at one time...all the old folks...quite poor thing..no one visit and my dialect sucks, so wanna chat with them also so difficult...
FH havent buy proposal ring....supposed to go with another friend of mine, getting married 7 days after me, to shop together..(more bargaining power)but that guy wont shop till after april.
hahah...so i'll have to wait long long till P day.
anyway, told FH, die die before indian wedding must propose. (indian wedding in nov)

Initially i also wanted to go switzerland and italy in Jun. But it clashes with Euro 2008 which Switzerland is one of the hosting countries. Will be very crowded and the hotel rates will soar like mad too. So in the end decided to go hokkaido.

Hi Sue, dun be agitated, there are always ppl like these around.... they think by forwarding email have make their work easier but not true cos end up, they will overlook the small small details... then it will be even worst... and i understand ur frustration on the taiji aspect cos i always kena in office too... kekek... but in some ways, i feel that since we are not good at it, it would be better cos end up, we dun kena arrow by ppl too...

A whole new world- Aladine....got one song "can you feel the love tonighte" .... Disney one all not bad one.. hahaha that time ROM I use the korean show sound track.. "Full house" one of the song inside... is pure music I like it hee hee.. then after that they use that for background music the whole nite.. hee hee.. "Grow old with you"- wedding singer?? that one also nice.... "when you say nothing at all??"

shybride, this one i must agree with you.. they are really friendly and polite.. i prefer taipei more than HK.. I hope to go back to taipei next yr.. if budget allows. lots of things to shop.. i can spend money even before reaching taipei, hehe, order their online stuffs.

rach, yaya, after discussing with hubby.. still decided to print it locally. my hubby said no point just saving $50-$60 bucks and take the trouble to go down to JB, at least twice. My friends also urge me not to go, as high crime rates there.

Wah you gals are really progressing real fast. For songs, basically have already selected the songs i want but just have to go and find the CD. haha.
mei, Cannon in d is very nice..be my guest is common? so far have not heard tt at weddings i atteneded. hehe. mine will even be more common.. coz my fav is still from this moment on.. haha.. but i really love that so i am going to use that.

And i guess i'll be moving my stuffs into our love nest in July also ba... July will be a busy month... for us..to get everything settled... hehehe...so exciting loh... 5 more months of preparation and slimming....
