My HB was saying his friends asked him not to spend so much on reno since ours is resale, see what can retain, retain. And the rest of the $$ set aside to buy better furniture etc.

my dad sponsor A/C, MIL sponsor TV then aunty sponsor fridge,washing m/c ... MIL wan to sponsor electric hood hob, but i dun wan.. keke.. too expensive liao... not worth it.. i oso duno how to cook ! haha

jazol, no lah.... I only have 1 big glass vase that I placed it on my dining table...

I will definitely remove it when i hv my own children.

Coz my SIL never disciplined her children one.. Her son who is a toddler hor, likes to sweep everything on the table onto the floor. They never discipline him that he cant do that... So every time, they will shift all the things from one table to another so that he cant do it.

This is just what we called, "Damage control".. Not resolving the issue.

junie, wat ur hubby fren said is correct. my sis place also is a re-sale flat. somemore is more den 20yrs. she did not even reno at all, oni repaint the whole place, fixed up curtains and buy furniture. ur re-sale flat is oni 5yrs old rite, tink even if u wan to reno also wun cost much.

saro, i still waiting for my mum to sponsored mi washing machine, she said until my reno completed den buy for mi. she n my sis also sponsored mi a 3-layer pot which can cook 3 dishes at 1 time coz they said i dunno how to cook. tis type of pot is made for mi one... lol

mi n hubby budget abt $15-$18k for our wedding. no sponsors at all for wedding

mi choosing materials for carpentry in mid jan. ID said maybe will ask electrician to do wiring b4 CNY first, after CNY den start carpentry. i told him to do everything after CNY, dun wan to get a rush job

Jazol, i think most parents dun discipline their children... Seen alot of cases on public transport and public places where i feel like slapping the children!

I just prayed that i will be able to discipline my future children well and not let them climb over my head...

Btw, this SIL of mine's daughter can tell my SIL that her caning is not painful! *faints*

jas, my mum said maybe, not confirm leh... pray for the best. when my sis married dat time, my parents oni give her back the angbaos fm her frens. but my sis didn't pay a single cent for her wedding coz it's fully paid up by her MIL. so lucky.

Thanks gals for your concern. Just some throat infection. Plus holiday mood still so choose to stay home for another day..

For me.. My reno we fork out all the money on our own.. From loan of course.

As for the banquet.. I'm still looking for a chance to talk to my mum that we need to keep the ang bao for the tables we give her. Very stress.. cos this type of issue very sensitive ma.. And I don't wish to upset my mum.. but we really cannot afford is she wants to keep the ang bao lor. Hope she understand.

FH's parents told us to forfeit the deposit we have paid the hotel. They're willing to pay for the top-ups necessary if we change to another more expensive place. This way, we can keep 1st July. Now really just hope the couple holding the date will release it...then all my problems will be solved. Sigh.

macjoe, think there will be one make-up and hairstyle in the morning (for tea ceremony) and another for make-up and hairstyle at the hotel for dinner..
u can request for change of hairstyle between 1st and 2nd march in but it might take sometime..

hihi, if you want to have more than one hairstyle for the different gowns, maybe you can check with your hairstylist to see if you can have a initial hairstyle with all the hair up. Then remove some hair pins to let down some hair, as a next hairstyle, for the second gown. (assuming you have long hair)
