jazol, I think there are 3 outlets of Mega Mattress - one is near the old Tang Dynasty, the other is at 320 Balestier Road and I can't rem the last one. U can refer to Sat's Straits Times for ref.

originbaby, there are too many choices around, that's why it's hard to shop for a bed. What we did was we zoomed in on the various mattresses that are within our budget & we tried the beds (lie & pounce on it). We ordered it straightaway once we found one that suits our budget & comfort. Try to get them to throw in extras like mattress protector & pillows, I got them to throw all these extras in for us.

Good thing some other shops like Poh Joo and Chuan Heng were open. Apparently they serve mainly the contractor crowd.</font>

normally they will recommend u to the supplier they go to often. Even if its their service they can tell u they are not free on that day, so if u want them to go with u, u have to wait lor. Then everything will slow down.

Well, my friend broke a wine glass and it scratches the wooden table during their stay in Swissotel, the hotel didn't request for compensation even tho they declared during checkout. The hotel reply was not to dampen their joyous occasion. Guess either they are real lucky or the staff is new or just temping.. Haha

Came accross something interesting in another thread. One of the forumer is seeking for empty bottles of duty paid liquor at bout $5. Any interested seller?

hi clueless n babystarlet:

coordinating between so many contractors can save more money and you can ensure that the materials they use are of premium quality. but of course, it's easier to engage just one ID to settle everything.

I gave what i wanted to a few IDs and they quote me about 40k, but if i put everythin together myself, i save about 30%, about 15k difference. It's quite fun, really. I was at Balestier choosing the wall n floor tiles of kitchen n toilet just couple of days back, next going to jalan besar area to select WC and rain shower, bathroom accessories etc.. If anyone needs advise on how to manage all the contractors, feel free to ask me =)

<font color="aa00aa">Yup, my ID brought us to a shop, but we think it's a little exp, so thanks to this wonderful forum heard about the jalan besar ones which are really cheaper (can be $150 less for hobs and hoods, but only $20 less for WC, taps etc).

We'll seek our ID's expertise more wrt design items like lights and furniture I guess!</font>
