I think Taka is having a mooncake fair from 6th Sep onwards... MAbbe u can try the samples and buy the mooncakes!

i have taken mine 2 weeks ago...layout will take around 3-4 weeks to finish. Have u had ur 1st fitting? If not, then u better arrange ur BS for ur fitting and a date for PS, if u push further than Sep, might be too rush for you. Furama Riverfront Hotel? hmm...shd be ok ba...urs is on x'mas eve right? x'mas mood...great, can countdown at your hotel! Mine is at orchid country club, grand ballroom..

Wow, Calisa, your wedding date is coming pretty soon...but don't panic cause that won't help things...

My own is next year probably last qtr, havent decided actual day b'cus now its lunar 7th mth. Anyway, me and my wife-to-be have started looking around for hotels or restaurants to hold our banquet at.

I hope at least you have done that... if you haven't and find it hard to find places in hotels to place dinners, maybe can try either lunches (I personally think it is ok although traditionally people hold dinners) or have it at some restaurants.

Also need to prepare wedding packages (gowns, photo shoots, makeup, bridal car, solemnisation/ROM venues, invitation cards, honeymoon destinations, place to stay after marriage etc etc.) alot of stuff to prepare... If people around you are so concerned, that's a good thing, you can approach them for help also

There are alot of experienced jie jies and mei meis around here that will lend you a helping hand too. I'm still learning, plus I'm a guy so my knowledge is limited...

Jovie, thanks for the advice. Have not got my first fitting so I think i beta called to arrange for an apointment soon. So how many outdoor shoots u have? Any suggestion for venue for outdoor shoots? Mine is also a ballroom, cos I will be having about 40+ tables...Big Bomb! LOL..

Today I had a very unhappy incident happens with Peony jade.

I went down to make my booking on April for my ROM solemnisation on 15Sep 2007.
On that day, the sales told me that I can have 26pax (mean 13pax per table) in my private room rather the 10pax per table.

Other then that nothing is informed.
Today I call back to confirm the number of pax attend then they say there will be additional charges for the extra pax. ( wth)

Then in the first place they did not told me there will be additional charges for the extra pax, they only told me they can arrange 13pax per table.

In my understanding of 13pax for per table mean the food is more then enough for 10pax. So extra 3pax for per table is ok one!
Now they told me they do counting for prawns and Mushroom. And nothing is free in this world. I very hot with this sentence “Common sense increase number of pax means u need to top up $$†but the problem is they never told me this when I making my reservation on that day I go down!!! They only told me per table can seat max up to 13pax!

I’m so upset!

Not I no money to pay for the extra pax.
If in the very first place when I went down to make my booking, they told me that the foods is only enough for 10pax of table increase to 13pax then additional charges is needed. They I will be ok, and willing to pay.

And now I can bet my guests will not full with the potion they serve even is only 10GUESTs.

Now wat, I only can LL….. piss. Lucky I call back, if not I will not be shock that my guest dun have prawns or mushroom to eat.

2. Bridal package paid but haven't went not first fitting and PS yet.

That's all I have done. I see my galfren all very busy when preparing for wedding, I am quite free and get still go for holiday this weekend.

jovi, i think the no of tables x 1.5 = no of bottles of red wine.

For me, my no of tables is ard 55, so i think i will prepare about 90 bottles.

Cos my parents's friends are high consumers. so i will take more just in caase not enough.

But on the other hand, we can inform the banquet manager to inform their staff to help us control the liquor
