<font color="ff0000">last nite.. shortly after i posted on the forum.. hb called me.. so i told him we must act fast as all the good photograpgers are being booked already. I told him about this bundle on photography n videography abt 1.5k.. he went crazy.. said i everything also want.. want exp BS (he initial budget for BS only 3K).. now wan vg n pg... then said i wan resale.. wan to do the renov exp... he keep emphazing he just want to spend only 3-4k on the wedding day</font>
<font color="ff0000">by the time he hit the housing.. i was really pissed off.. cos firstly.. i told him before on the pg n vg thingy.. and he agreed to look for quotations first before deciding..now accusing me of wanting everything... then the housing... so i knocked some sense into his head.. i told him to go find BS in JB.. dun bother to find a local BS... and for housing... told him that its his idea of buying resale.. then change his mind go balloting.. then now he wants resale...</font>

My FH also like that. Sometimes he complain this complain that so I just tell him not happy, then don't want then he change mind 
AD photography got a lot of photographers out there... I think you have to meet up with them personally and go through their photos before you can see whether or not you like his style. I personally feel that there is no difference in photography between photographers, at least not as obvious as the difference in videography styles. I think 1.5k can be done, maybe stretch it a little but definitely 2k is workable. Why don't you get your HB to go see these photographers and videographers together with you? After he sees them, he may change his mind...</font>

But it depends on what you and your HB want actually... if your parents and PIL don't mind the wait, then why not? Can wait a few years before customary but then I dunno if can have children before the customary ley? Not sure about that. If yes then you have to wait till then to have children. Just something for you to think about. You're still young, so can plan.

i agree with u Rachel, I do think so that it would be extra cost to us if printing the cards my own...cos i know of many frens whom dun look at the card, but only the details of the card... some even throw away the card & keep the inserts only...sigh...
On 2nd thots, the card design still acceptable lah, guess i would just make do with whatever they have ... (save $$ for honeymoon....hee hee)

I dun not have any quotation yet. I just called and they verbally tell us and I just note down. I just asked for printing on inserts only. Wanna save some cost becos I think no $$$ to design cards liao leh. Imagine each card cost $1.50 and 300 cards will cost me $450 leh. So after caclulating on budget, decide to print on inserts only.
If u want, I can email u the list of printers which I have consolidated lor. I wrote down some pricing as well for those I know and called.

cool down. wat my hubby and I did was do draft a budget (for everything with payment plan in check) and try to stick to it. After initial and 2nd round of research on BS, PSPG, AD PG & VG, we will adjust the budget again (increase or decrease) in one area. Sometimes.. have to close one eye. This is EXTREMELY IMPT and I cannot emphasise more on it.

I ROMED in 04, got my flat in 05 and now getting married in 06 because hubby and I did financial planning based on budgetted expenditure and projected savings along the course of our plan. So its up to you how you like it cos I feel most couples will quarrel over money issues (UNLESS they are DIRT RICH), so far, I feel we managed ok. Most imptly is to communicate and speak your mind.

my bf doesnt believe in VG so instead we choose to "invest" in good PG and spend on other stuff.. despite me wanting a VG badly and i am paying for the wedding expenses.. but i dun mind compromising since this is a very small affair compared to him enjoying the prep... afterall, its his wedding too..

agree with proffy. after living in with hubby for 8 mths.. guys HATE shopping. So wat i do is go shopping with ger frens then shortlist and show him. think my hubby on attended like 2-3 bridal shows. ha ha ha ha. alternatively, show him all the awful ones so he knows wat are the good ones. HA HA HA HA HA.. trick..

i'm sure all the btbs here would want the best for their weddings. afterall, its a once in a lifetime affair. however sometimes, we are too eager and may sort of overspend/forgot our priorities... this is when our level-headed hb from mars will step in to interfere. keke~
apple, wedding preparation is usually the 1st major "project" which a couple will have to undertake, and there's bound to be disagreements along the way. really muz sit down and discuss to avoid any unhappiness... u dun want to look back and have bad memories of ur wedding ah.. cheer up!
