2 way cake to recommend?

hi melgal,
i did try wet and wild 2 way cake b4. Not too bad actually...but i find that after touch-up with it, my face looks too "made-up" and powdery.
Maybe you can try to see if u really like it. But the coverage, i must say, is quite good.

Think both CD and Chanel has very good 2 way cake. As for Chanel, maybe can try the new whitening one, cuz I find it better than its Double Perfection compact powder, fine with medium coverage.

Hi Waif:
I am a fan of SKII but their 2 way cake I will nvr recommend to my friends, unless you use it with their power signs treatment foundation. If not you will find it makes your pores even bigger, the texture is not fine at all

Hi,
does any one use this brand, Paul & Jones?
I happen to spot this brand at Isetan Scotts. Hoping for some comments as this brand is new.
Hi beibei, can tell me how much is Chanel 2 way cake (whitning)?thanks.

hi Gan, think Chanel one is S$70 with casing. I got many friends using Paul & Joe actually, since it is a quite popular brand in other countries, so when they first launch in SG, my friends all happliy go and buy. So far only know that the loose powder is not bad, I find most pple are attracted by their packaging only, their products should be normal I believe, nothing too special.

Hi beibei,

Thanks for yr info.
Yes , you are right. I am first attracted by their loose powder packaging. Very unique and have a very big 'puffy'to apply the powder onto face.
Will the Chanel type clog pores? Currently I am using Origins loose powder and thinking to switch to 2 way cake.

hehee, clog pores huh, abit leh, cuz my pores around my Tzone area are quite big, anything can just clog one, btw, i just bought the CD latest whitening 2 way cake for my sis, and found it even better than Chanel one. Loose powder I prefer HR one

I heard from my make up instructor that the powder product from Kose is the best .. and fyi mascara from revlon is the best.. it wont Smudge so easily than others brands.. no harm trying

Does anyone here use Clinique's 2 way cakes? I'm thinking of switching from Lancome's Maquicake UV as another forum only had bad stuff to say about it..apparently a dermatologist said that Lancome's ingredients are pore clogging and will make acne worse!

I do get occassional zits so was thinking of finding a matte powder that controls shine and doesnt clog pores. Got any to reccommend?

Hi every1!

I had tried various beauty products for many years and I find tat products fr japan suits my skin better- be it makeup or facial products. US products tend to be a bit too heavy for my skin which is a combination to dry plus super-sensitive. Could be that Jap products are more formulated for asian skins?I personally love KOSE for their facial products n Shisedo for their powder and makeup. Right now using KOSE aloe vera based products. So far no complaints

Anyway jus my 2 cents worth!

i agree with jess

jap products more suit asian skin and also products from France / paris also feels ok for us.

Actually i feel it's not whether it's manufactured in Japan or elsewhere. Asians and all other nationalities have similar skin structure. The ingredients used is important like having no talc and petrolateum by-products. I had tried several Japanese brands and find they are a little oily, more for people with dry, fair skin and flawless complexion. I've got oily skin and find their products make mine oilier and shiny. Also pretty heavy. I feel cosmetics products from U.S. suit me better.
So it's more of individual preference

hi waif and smurf, the info is sent to you.

hi nutty peanut,
wasn't able to email through. Is your mail correct?

i've used many brands before & still using a mixture.

Maybeline, prescriptives, shiseido, kose etc

i preferred kose cos it provides the best coverage but tend to clog the pores if dun wash it properly.

hi nutty peanut,

i tink it'll stay on til d end of d day unless u perspire a lot. if not, u can re-apply it at mid-day when u touch up.

hey nutty

my trick is to apply a coat of loose powder over e blusher, works for me, n I dont touch up at all, u can try too...

Me and my siblings have been using KOSE two way cake (Sonia Lasting) and we all loved the effect it gave. Blends pretty well especially after you sit in an air conditioned place..

Its cheap (S$29.30) but you have to wash your face thoroughly as its coverage is medium to heavy.

Can cover scar and marks pretty well.

But bad news is that its discontinuing its product. Dunno y, but im trying kanebo now.. and its KATE range is not bad!
