Outfits for Brothers and Sisters

Hello fellow BTB, I'm a Oct 2019 BTB and although it's still a long way from now (and I'm still deciding on the venue), but I can't seem to stop myself from thinking what the brothers and sisters should wear. I am not really drawn towards them wearing the usual formal attire as I feel the outfits should be unique and memorable.

What outfit ideas do you girls have? Or am I the only one who put so much emphasis on this? :(:(

Depends on your theme
For me I like morning session to be more fun yet tradition hence I would let my Sister wear jipao:)
Brothers n groom would be taken by surprise when they have to change into guys’ style during gate crash

hehe no harm on thinking about your brothers/sisters outfit and theme early!
I had several ideas in mind even before banquet reservation etc, and then slowly worked it out through elimination based on what is suitable for our theme, location, our style and sisters/brothers' personality.

We're currently planning for the brothers to wear black vests and sunglasses.
Sisters will be in a black & red theme (both parents not traditional so black is fine). They will be wearing their own little black dresses/suit pants/shirt&pants with red accents from sashes/scarves/accessories/wrist corsage that I will provide to give a tinge of red. This is mainly because some of my sisters are more tomboyish and may not be comfortable in long flowy dresses, so I decided it would be prettier and more comfortable for them to wear something that brings out their own personality.

I was thinking bout that too! Like having them wear traditional style, but my HTB's friends had their gatecrashing with similar style already, two friends some more, so am quite hesitant to settle on this idea.

Nice! I actually have a guy friend who will be part of my jiemei entourage, is it weird?

Any one has got guys in their jiemei entourage before or will have?

I have heard of jiemei entourage with guys (and might end up having one!) It seems alot more common these days.
In fact, I have a close guy friend who is like a sister, and I really wanted him to be in the jie mei entourage.
My family are ok with it, just my htb wasn't too keen initially because he also thought it was weird... until another of his close friend told him that he (the closer friend.. ) was once in jiemei entourage. So htb relented XD

Unfortunately I had already asked another girlfriend to be in the jiemei entourage and hit our quota (5 sisters/5 brothers). But one of my girls cannot confirm as she might not be around during that period. So he has happily agreed to be back-up in case she can't make it. He will also be joining for my hens nights!

So as long as your htb and family are ok with it, I guess why not? XD

My HTB is actually ok but my parents are kinda apprehensive, being traditional Asians. But they know my guy friend so they also understand he's one of my closest friends. But.....I don't know how I'm supposed to 'dress' him LOL!

I guess it all boils down to your theme.
For mine, since it is more of a color theme, my guy friend can come in black and red (maybe black shirt, black pants with red tie, or black pants red shirt.)

If you're planning matching dresses for the girls, maybe find a shirt for him in a similar color/material?
Another way might be to wear something similar to the xiongdi, but different color so as to differentiate him from the xiongdi.

My guy friend is actually okay with wearing whatever my jiemeis are wearing. Haha! He just request for a 'not too short' skirt.

Seems like my HTB wants them to wear the normal, formal kinda attire..but I actually prefer something more fun, unique? :(:(

Maybe you can make the fun, unique clothes part of the gatecrash games? You could surprise him and the boys with the set of clothes, and give them like a limited time to wear everything, take photos with specific poses and wear it till the end of the gatecrash. They can change out of it at the end of the gatecrash before the tea-ceremony. I think it would be quite fun and both of you get what you want.

Wow!! Great idea! Totally didn't think of this at all. I shall discuss this with my girls!
