Big Ball Gown Too Much for Small Venue?

Hi BTB / Graduate Brides,

Anyone here planning to wear / wore a ball gown with long train although your venue is not so big?

I tried a princess ball gown with long train & love it, but my venue setup is round tables on both sides of the room and so there is a long aisle in the middle but its kinda narrow. So I'm worried that I might knock people / chairs along the way. But i really love the dress. My venue is Hotel Jen Tanglin one of the function rooms (not main ballroom), guest size of about 150pax. If any graduate brides here wore a ball gown there, it would be great if you can share your experience =)

Thank you!

Hi, just to share my experience. I held my wedding at Hotel Jen Tanglin's Temasek Ballroom in May this year. I had a ballgown with long train and we have no problem walking down the long aisle with tables at both sides of the function room. There are ample walking space for our march-in. :)

Hi Choo78, thanks for sharing your experience! It is a relief to hear this =)

I just had my reception yesterday, setup was similar to yours as its 150 pax with two rows of table at the side. My gown wasnt a ballgown with long train, but I feel that you should be able to carry it off if the whole feel and decor of the place is grand enough. So just go for it!
