Any brides signed with my dream wedding? Any reviews on the bs or recommendations on photographer/mua? Thanks!!
My sister signed with my dream wedding for her wedding last year. It has a lot of topping up involved for the gowns. Depends on how comfortable you are to top up.

Oh hahaha I wanted to go with whitelink but decided against in after I helped my cousin picked her gowns from there. Their evening gowns are VERY LIMITED!
My AD is Dec 2018 :)
Pm me. I can share with you my experience with boutique shopping :)
YES! Totally agreed! And most choices are for really petite sized brides
Ok pm ya now!

hahahaha yeah, when my cousin went there to select her gowns, we spent like a good 6 hours there.
she wanted blue for her evening gown but the entire warehouse was only able to provide her 3 blue gowns, and all didnt fit cause they were small in cutting.
now she;s thinking of forfeiting her contract with WL and engaging another boutique.

Hi BabyPiya,

When are you getting married? Im considering to hold it in Mandarin Orchard as well but was told they will be hosting the wedding show on 22nd April, which they generally offers more perks / more flexibility in their package than usual.
Hi Jessie. Y, I am also interested in Mandarin Orchard. Attracted to their unique ballroom of the tiered levels on level 35. Have you heard anything / had a good experience about the food or the service? Why are you considering Mandarin Orchard as well?
Thanks!

Hi Blushbolt, Congrats! When's your AD? I haven been to their ballroom on level 35, instead i went to the one located on the 6th floor. It was spacious, with high ceiling and the reception area seems pretty grand as well. Actually i think food is more or less about the same standard for banquets, just that Mandarin Orchard offers 9-course instead of the usual 8-course menu la. I wasn't quite impressed with their service honestly, cos prior to the wedding show which falls on coming 22nd April, my HTB and i have already met up with the catering sales and we've gone through some of the details / perks that we'll like MO to meet, but the lady said she cannot do or promise anything and asked us to visit again on their wedding show. =.= Felt like a wasted trip man, cos in our email correspondence she did not mention anything about their upcoming wedding show. I could have just wait for the wedding show for the discussion though, instead of making a fruitless trip down. And now the lady want us to pay for the registration fee to attend their wedding show. =.=

Hi Jessie.Y, nice to hear from you! thanks for replying! Well don't think of it as a wasted trip la, I'm sure you glimpsed a bit more of the hotel during your trip there haha (think positive!). we have signed up for the wedding show this saturday as well - the perks are pretty good. I really like the design of the ballroom on level 35, that was my biggest draw. But I am asking around about the food and service before we make the final final commitment this sat! (so nervous!). so you think the food should be OK?

have u heard anything about the service? We were considering Park Royal Pirkering too, but kinda put off by their bad service, just our luck! :(

what other hotels did you consider? when is your wedding gonna be?

Hey, don't feel this way.. it's not a wasted trip :)

I ever paid and visited a showcase but it was damn crowded their coordinators are all so busy I didn't even get a chance to talk to anyone. It's better to talk and discuss before the show so the coordinator has all the attention on you and you have enough time to consider and compare.

If you had only gone to the show to discuss and talk I think the whole session would be very rushed cuz there's so many other couples they need to attend to. You also won't have enough time to sit down and compare and consider. Just my thoughts from my personal experience :)

Hi Blushbolt! I've just signed up for the show, perhaps we may run into each other unknowingly. Yea probably i should accept it with a open mind. Haha. Can you pm me the perks? [email protected] Yea i think food wise should be generally okay for most hotels, I'm more concerned on the service and attention my guests will be given. We did checked with Orchard Hotel as well, their price is really very competitive with MO, plus more perks given without you requesting for it. Like complimentary 2nd night stay at Bridal Suite, 1 night stay deluxe room, free flow of beer, waiver of corkage fees and more. The only drawback is their location. My HTB and MIL all dislike the location cos too near clubs and all. I felt really comfortable with the coordinator though, she seemed very experienced and sincere as well. Mine will be on March 18th. Yours?

Yup... better to go down to the hotel when there's no crowd. Attention given entirely on u. The hotels run wedding show often so they will let u know when their next show will be.

I went to the hotel n met with the staff. She went through every single detail n even showed us the suites and all the venues... She gave us all the attention n informed us of the show. Told us to sign with her that day so we can get more perks.... between our first meeting n the show, we kept in touch even though we only agreed to sign during the show :)

Hi All,

Im a May'18 BTB! Currently had secured my Venue and Bridal boutique. Yet to find AD photographer&videographer, anyone got package recommendations for it (preferably below $3k in total)...?

Anyway, as for Venue and Bridal boutique search, I had my Dayre updates. So if anyone is keen in the "process" of the search + some package prices details, can hop to my Dayre post~ :) Hope it will help!

Venue hunt post (personally visited 8 venues, but emailed quite "a lot" of hotels for the price package): https://dayre.me/dodidodidoh/P4aQgIePEE

Bridal boutique (visited 4 boutiques only): https://dayre.me/dodidodidoh/mV8j48T9Q3 & https://dayre.me/dodidodidoh/HDtAvsc2gH

Hi Blushbolt, well received, thanks! Yea its the same, but i wanna ask for more stuff, like instead of free flow of beer for 3 hours, change it to 4 instead. Plus waiver of corkage fees, 2nd night bridal suite, 1 night deluxe and stuff. I think these are pretty necessary for me. Hahaha. So far i'm only considering between these 2 hotels. You?

Oh my.. thats why when i was there, it was all good n the lady seemed friendly n nice, i couldnt even find a single gown i liked! N there was at least 4 gowns I've suggested to see the actual piece but they say its for petite ladies only so unable to alter. Thank god i didn't sign up because even their designer gowns are really limited man..

Oh my! Me too! I went to a few hotels and met up with the coordinator before she recommended me to attend their upcoming wedding show (even waived off the registration fee) where we signd on the event day. After our 1st meeting, she regularly followed up with us and even asking us to bring our dog down to view the site as she knows my pet dog will be around n join in the march in with us. We've signed up with us also because her service is really good and she's the only one who will call to follow up. Hotels we've gone to & considered: Rws, marina mandarin, one degree, novotel, hotel jen, conrad, regent. It's always better to meet the coordinator and see how's her service first so at least you'll know if you're comfortable with her :)

Well, i'm being greedy, gonna have a look at Mandarin Oriental before the wedding show on Sat. Oriental is well-known for their good food , so it's a choice between food versus ambience. We really like the unique set up of Mandarin Orchards' ballroom, so let's see if Oriental's ballroom wows us too haha! kinda nervous!

Hi Newbride, congrats! Wow yours is on 3rd of CNY? You got the dates calculated by masters? Im reckoning almost all vendors will definitely charge more on CNY period. But hey, i thought not supposed to get married during CNY? For the rental of gowns, i think you can negotiate with your bridal shop for extension. Good luck!

Hi Jessie. Not aware that cannot marry on CNY lei. I think it's more like logistically, may be more inconvenient ba. For example, maybe less guests? Or PG VG more ex cos during CNY?
But our guests ate mostly family. So we are nt really worried about that.

Hi all, I'm 2018 BTB as well.. but wedding date not confirmed yet.. hehex..

went to Mandarin Orchard wedding show today and was super disappointed and upset with the coordinator.. the coordinator show us a black face through our discussion. and guess what, I was there only for 10 mins.. she reluctantly show us the package and the wedding show perks.. as I intend to have ROM and luncheon together, I ask for a complimentary function room. she refuse to show us, saying that show us also no use. by then the function room might be different.. and they will not be decorating the room. not even simple deco like the tables and chairs.. ask if deco can be provided, she ask me to liaise with florist myself.. zzZ

was really tempted to hold it there as I really like the imperial ballroom.. thought if they can offer the perks I wan, i will try to hit the minimum table of 15 (so far we only have about 12 to 13 tables)..

after 10 mins i left and ask my HTB, he also said the coordinator obviously is not sincere in entertaining us..

so everyone, please make sure you get a good coordinator if u have already signed with Mandarin Orchard.

Hi ladies, I haven't got a wedding date yet. So wondering if anyone can recommend where you calculate your dates?

Also, does anyone knows if Park Hotel Alexandra does Chinese wedding banquet? So far I only saw that they offer solemnization packages.. I'm only expecting up to 15 tables, so it'll be nice if there are some recommendations! Thanks!

Hi ladies! Got a question and am hoping I'll be able to get some answers/suggestions here!

Because our guests don't exactly drink beer, we're thinking of exchanging the complimentary beer offered by almost every hotels/venues for something else, however we're not quite sure how much is it worth?

Eg. for Chijmes' lunch package they're offering complimentary 30litres of beer, would anybody know how much is this worth and what should I be exchanging it for?

Because for Chijmes they're linked up with some vendors like barista, dessert table, etc. I was wondering if I can trade the complimentary beer for say a dessert table, or idk a night's stay at the hotel (not sure if the beer is worth this much though!)

Thanks v much for anybody's advice!
