Any JP to recommend?

Hi, Alex told us to prepare $88 for his ang bao. Is this the norm? I have friends who gave their solemnisers way lower than that.

But first impression he seems like an interesting and humourous person.. haha..

Using SingaporeBrides app

He told me about that figure to and I think it's market rate. They are not paid for traveling down to do the solemnization and need to at least give them ang pow for their time and transport in my opinion.

We gave him slightly more than that and I find him god, so I don't mind. Guests feedback that he was funny. Made the ceremony light hearted at certain moments too.

Hi all, anyone who can do reviews on Mr Alex Tan?

Many other popular solemnisers are not available. :( My fiance and I approached him and he is the only one who came back with a 'non negative' reply! He said he will do a soft booking first as it's still too early (our solemnisation will only be in May 2016). and told us to confirm again in Nov 2015.

Worried that if by then i approach him and he decides to let go of our appointment, we will have to do a last min rush for our JP hunt.

Hi! I just had my ROM this afternoon with Mr Alex Tan. I communicated with him via whatsapp throughout. He will reply me within 1 hour, if not usually within the day itself but never until the next day. I booked him in July - that's 4 months in advance. He arrived abt 10mins earlier, which he said he would be, then after settling down, he said what he needed to say, no grandmother story etc, which I like. The whole signing was short and simple, finished in about 15-20mins. Otherwise he's a very nice and friendly person!

I just had my ROM solemnisation with Mr Tan Cheng Soon Jackson and it was great! I had previously engaged two other JPs (who are supposedly on the top 40 list) which they agreed, but in the end they both backed out on me. I decided to contact Mr Tan who agreed to help out and he replied my emails promptly and patiently. My solemnisation was delayed due to some unforeseen circumstances but he was very patient to wait for us. In addition, he allowed us to have a bilingual solemnisation although he said he usually only does it in English. He accommodated our requests and ensured that everything was done nicely within a limited timeframe. He even left without taking an angbao from us and one of our brothers had to chase him to pass it to him. I am glad to have chosen him as my JP as he helped to make the solemnisation a breeze for us :)

thats really good to hear and congrats on being a Mrs officially! :D

My AD is only in next May, but we approached him earlier this year. First he told us he will do a soft booking for us then, but we have to remind him again in Nov. When we emailed him again in Nov, he said okay, contact him again in Feb.
I guess this is the standard approach because they can only 3 months in advance, but still feeling abit unsecure on my side haha.

Btw did you meet up with him prior your solemnisation? To do the consent form signing, and to take his license no (?) for the filing?

Sorry for all the questions! hehe

Sorry was busy over the weekend to check the forum! Its ok ask away! Yup about 2 mths prior to my ROM, I met him to sign consent form. He will have to write his license number on the consent form and the efiling will also ask for it.

ahh thanks girls! haha

how is he like in peson? @ohmytego when you met up w him, was it a short brief session or did he actually sit down to talk to you two about marriage, etc? :)

Eh I was free & super enthu & the hub was at work, so I went all the way to Woodlands to meet him haha. It was a very quick 15 mins session. Sat down and he agar-agar tell me abt how the process/ flow will be like, what time he will reach, want it to be in Eng or Mandarin, want own vows or repeat after him, to remind him again after verification at ROM office.

Anyway he conducted mine in Eng and Mandarin until the vows part, which was in English.

:)

My hb only asked him when we were going to register online. And yea, its a very short meetup session like ohmytego say. Just sign n tell u the flow.. then c him during wedding.. hahaa

Hi ladies,

Need advises. My AD and Solemnization will be on the 8th July 2016.
These few days I just started to text and email a few JP but none reply.
Can I know what are the possible reasons for them not to reply?
I have read their reviews and usually they response fast according to the brides last time.

Can anyone send me Mr Alex Tan email and contact number please ? I'm looking to engage him during my AD ! Thanks a lot !

Same here. Any reviews on Mr Francis Ng?

Btw I'm curious if solemnization is done at ROM center instead of outside is red packet required for ROM's in-house JP?

I'm looking online and came across Mr Francis Ng. However not much reviews online. Wondering if anyone has attended his solemnization over here :)
did you get francis ng as your jp?

I softbooked Mr Francis Ng as my JP but have not really seen or heard much reviews on him yet..
My collegue got him as JP for his wedding last yr and said that his was simple and short without all those long long speeches, which is also what I prefer. But this might jus be my friend's request? When u email him, u can ask him about it I guess?
