2017 brides

Hihi, I'm also a 2017 bride. Looking at first quarter of the year. Yet to book the banquet. Waiting for hotel wedding show. As for Bridal Package, I only went to one and try out their gown and book straight away. :)

Im a Dec 2017 BTB. I am looking at buying gowns at taobao or Bkk which my friend recommend me that it is cheaper than renting. I saw some gowns at taobao which is really nice, not sure about the quality though.
I considered buying my gown on Taobao but I had a few friends who did and said the quality is only good for photoshoot. One of them paid the more premium one and was disappointed.
I do see reviews online that are good though. It really depends on what you're looking for.

Hi, Nov 2017 Bride here. Have a hard time deciding whether to sign the bridal packages or going Ala-carte. Any recommendations?
Do you have preferences/know which vendors you want? For example if you already know/like a particular photographer/florist/gown then obviously it'll be easier to do it a la carte. A bridal studio provides the convenience of having it all done in one place :)

Hi all
I'm planning my wedding in Dec 2017 tentatively. (To be confirm, my sisters are feb 2017 and Jun 2017 brides- not sure if will clash and all. Still pending appt with a master. )

My feb2017 sister took a package with beautiful love. Service is horrible. They cannot deliver their promises.

My sis requested for gown selection during school holidays due to job commitment. Before she signed the package they say no problem. After that say not available becos they are fully booked.

The gowns so-so only when my sister show me.
And she mention that she has outdoor shoot but they informed her that the gown cannot be worn outdoor. Which I find ridiculous. She has intents to rent another set of gown for her Wedding shoot.
Apart from that, there are lots of hidden costs only told to her after she signed the package. e.g want nicer gowns add $$. Makeup before a certain time oso add $$.

Would like to share this to other BTB, for info.

I think white link and digio bridal has nicer gowns. Anyone took Any bridal package from whitelink or digio wedding? Can share Ur experiences with me? (Thanks in advance.)

I got digio package. The only bridal studio I went and bought it on the spot. They allow me tried a few gowns before sharing about anything. There is a lot choices for white gown and is very pretty. Limited for evening. Service I can't comment much as I only went once.

I did ala carte. and i will always recommend to my friends to do that. more flexibility and usually cheaper also. but if you want a one stop service, better go with bridal (:

Hi, whats the package like for this bridal shop? Thanks!

Hello happybelly! I haven go for any appointment as of now. Will be going for gown selection next month. So far booking of appointments hasn't been of any issue. I even paid for their actual day photography service when i signed but decided to cancel it now and they are ok cos they haven booked my photographer yet. Thank god for that! It has been gd experience thus far!

Bcos I want to have videography service as well and they are more pricey for it so I ask if I can cancel.. the deposit I made can be used to offset from the bridal package. Thank god they haven book my photographer so I can cancel it.

Hello all! Quite happening here.. BTB for Feb, 2017. So far only tentatively confirmed my banquet & Church venue. Bridal package i'm considering La Fatte (they'll throw in 2 gowns 1 WD, 1 EG + 1 FOC Tailor made suit, catch is to air freight the gowns to and fro, suit is made locally, complimentary) Wondering if the rest of the item (MUA + 1 more suit + Father's Jacket + Mom's dresses + PG) should i go ala carte? :)

Also, popping by to ask, anyone heard of any review or tasted food from Village Hotel @ Katong? :) Will be going down for viewing on 23rd April. Appreciate if tire's some review :)

This is the first time I heard of ala carte. Does it mean that u take Ur gown / photography from different company. Very troublesome... but will this be more cost effective? Will u have more Or limited choices when it comes to this?

I am doing ala carte too. Because I am quite particular on photography and I want to get back all of the softcopy! Not just a few pieces and have to pay if i want more...

It takes more time to coordinate. Cost wise I think may not be cheaper. So really, depends on your preference :)

yes. there is many ways to doing it. some ppl buy their gown, some ppl do MTM or rent at bridal shop. photographer separately engaged. more cost efficient cos those photographers that are not attached to bridal studio usually give you all photos but bridal studio give you like 40? you top up 50-100dollars for each additional one. so you easily pay few thousands more on top of the package price and if you don't, they will try to persuade you la.. definitely more choices cos you can choose your own gown anywhere, and choose your photographer as well. if with bridal, you are stuck with the photographer, so your photos will be quite similar to other couples that did with that studio. hmmm. i won't say its very troublesome. you can get the gown first and look for the photographer, usually the photographer have make up artist also. so actually, quite easy.

i compared the price given by bridal studio and me doing ala carte actually cheaper and got back all soft copies. and the photographer do actual day wedding photo and video also so it saved me bit of trouble :D cost wise depends, i think usually it will be cheaper unless you engaged those 3000-4000$/a day photographers. haha which i can't afford. anyway i have a friend that went to bridal and end up paying close to 8k to get back all the photos!!

Nah my photographer is not that expensive! I got a separate person for videography though. Was comparing with those regular bridal packages (which does not include all photos)

If want to get back all photos with bridal package, that will be crazy ex. I asked one of the bridal shops before - wanted to charge me $1,000 more or like $30 a piece smthg like that. So expensive!

Overall, I am happy I am going ala carte :)

Anyone has any geomancer master to recommend? Some recommended master long from woodlands. How do other btb derived the wedding date? Care to share? Many thanks.

$1000 more or $30 is already considered cheap. haha. i think market rate is at least 50-100/photo.
