@shasikala I have spoken to Sathia, very helpful and has a friendly personality. He was booked for the wedding but went the extra mile to check availabilities of his fellow photographer friends.. ;)
We are using SGCC for the ROM.. any comments/pre-warnings would be appreciated too...

@Santhya84 yes Mr sathia is super nice and friendly and he gave many advice and tips as well. :) Never regret engaging him. I will be meeting Mr Balan from SGCC this fri, to be honest i feel that they offer the best price for the venue. They charge by per head and have different prices according to the menu and no. of pax. They cater food from Riverwalk tandoor and one other place i cant recall. I will update more after fri for those keen for the SGCC venue. :D:D also ladies if you are looking for quality henna drawer please take time to browse thru Disha Creationz which i stumble upon FB. I should say her work quality is very good. Young talented girl. Not sure about her prices tho.

Wat a coincidence.. I just booked Disha creations too.. her works look good.. also one of the better henna artists that can draw a nice mapillai and ponnu face.. that was one of the things that I had looked out for.. incase i wanted to do it at the very last min..
SGCC caters from 4 diff restaurants.. Kinaran (hope i spelt it correctly), Taste of India, Riverwalk and Mayura. Will be going for sampling ard Jan..
For video/photos.. anyone tried Pixel frames?

Hello brides to be... I'm a Dec 2017 bride looking to do a traditional temple wedding in the morning followed by a dinner reception in the evening. Any affordable decor companies to recommend? I have been seeing some of their works via Fb and honestly I am not into those vibrant peacock Colours but more of a vintage theme. Any recommendations?

Hello girls! Any suggestions on where I can rent Indian wedding costume for both bride and groom? My fiancée has Indian blood so we were thinking of of renting one for our wedding :)

Or is it more worth it for us to purchase a set (if the price difference is not a lot)? Hope to hear from you girls soon! Thank you!

Hey! My wedding is in early 2017 as well. Unfortunately the market still seems to be made up of only 4-5 players. I really don't like the bright and flashy colours too, but I'm going to try and speak to Pandora or KM etc to see if they can make some modifications to their existing themes to make it more modern/subtle. You might want to try that too. :)

Hi all,

I am looking for a dj and/or emcee for my wedding cum ROM on the 14th of Feb 2016.

Also, I need recommendations for henna services for my wifeto-be as well.

Please recommend with their contact details, so I can call them to get quotations.

Please reply asap as I am running out of time for these 2 items, which happen to be still pending.

Thank you in advance.

@vjsimon, you can look for divya for henna services. Please provide me with your email add so that i can share her contact and the emcee details and the pricing as well. :)

I would strongly recommend pandora krish. He is very responsive and he tries his best to assist to your needs and not just brush away your ideas. Worth a try. They do have some promotional price. Drop by expo hall 6b to get their quotation. :):) Best of luck!

Hahaha! tell me about it @Soniah , headaches after headaches. Guess what i have not booked my venue as well. I was under the impression that the wedding planners will help to source out the venue for us but we have to do it ourselves. I am actually searching for a place that i can do my traditional and reception tgt. My planned date is 17 dec 2016 and half the time ppl are stressing us that we are behind time in fixing the venue. Getting the venue is the biggest headache for me now. But its fun at the same time. All the best dear!! hope hear on your wedding preparation progress!! :):):D

anyone tried rafie or kanthan jay photography? and selvarani makeup services? any comments or feedback?
My cousin hired Selvarani for number of events including her traditional. Her style is what I would describe as "old school" style. She is very reliable though, and has tons of accessories for rental as understand she makes regular visits to India. So far among all the rates that I have compared with, she is among the lowest

If you intend to get the traditional done in 2016, I strongly recommend booking the venue soonest. Initially the temple was not willing to accept our booking last year. We were told to return in couple of months later. Im Dec 2015, I blocked the date only to realize number of slots in Dec 2016 already booked!

Thank you dear, at least i can decide on my MUA.

Ladies need your recommendation on photographers. I have enquired some. Just visited signature last week and was very disappointed with the customer service despite their low rates.

Thanks @shasikala! Lots of indians are choosing Studio A. I have just sent my request to him. so will wait for his reply.
As for henna, Mona seems pricey but her works are really amazing!
Was just reccing ard for invitation cards.. looks like queens has a variety to choose from.. found that indian printers are relatively cheaper than M'sia and Singapore. Sadly, the cheaper ones done provide samples but the pricier ones (almost equal to msisa prices) do.. Anyone have any reccomendations for cards?
I do find Mona rates very expensive. Was rather taken aback. You can consider mahes. Her henna is really good

If you are looking for lengha, number of online shops in fb selling it pretty cheap. You can explore your options at little India also.

Based on my personal opinion, studio a Mr sathia is a nice and accomdative and responsive guy. I feel his pictures turns out well compared to other photographers. Unfortunately he is not avail for my date.

@bridesberries thank you beb. Bef i could see ur msg, she has responsed to me on Fb and she has given her reason on why she wasn't able to reply. I was quick to judge her tho. Aft chatting with her, she seems very professional. I'm glad that i got her for my trial.
