Hello ladies!

I've booked amore for the actual day and now looking around for someone for engagement and bangle ceremony. Anyone tried rafie photography before?

As for makeup artist, any feedback on monika love?

I'm also going to India for wedding shopping and will be getting some sarees, bangle ceremony door gifts and maybe invites. Anything else I should be looking for?

Still 7 months away so I think I'm still going okay.

Not sure abt rafie photography.. But u can check out subra govinda or tvt photography.. Both r on fb..

How abt decor? Guestbook? Henna? Pictures slideshow? Big printout of your couple pics to put at entrance? :)

Hope it helps to check w ur checklist:)

Hi ladies!

I wanted rafie for my bangle ceremony as well but unfortunately he will not be free..
I'm currently looking for a photographer and video graphed for my wedding. The big day is 6 months away. Should I be freaky out!?

I'm also going to India to get my traditional wedding needs.

For the reception was thinking of a photowall. Anyone knows where I can do a photowall?

How about wedding bands? Where you ladies getting yours?

I hear Rafie is not bad - anyone else used him before? I'm trying to get casual photoshoot done as well, not a big fan of the bridal studios kind. Anyone worked with Dave Puli MUA for hairdo before?

For those ladies planning india trips - any tips on where to get door gifts like photoframes there? I'm also looking for hair and makeup for simple ROM lunch - any tips?

Hi btb! How is everyone's planning coming along? Where are you ll getting bridal cars?

Hello! When is your big day? I'm stressing like crazy knowing that there are so many things not done. Esp for bangle ceremony, mua, photographer, outfit, food, henna artist.

I'm also looking out for bridal cars so do let me know if you come across any. My friend is recommending someone she knows who rents out his car for $400. Not sure if that is ex or what.

Let me knowif you have any recommendations for any of my pending items! Soooooo stressed!

Relax babe! My big day is in Jan. When us yours?
Plan what you need to do and settle them one by one. For make up- narrow down your choice of mua. Enjoy the process. :)

$400 for car rental is it a whole day? What car is it?

What have you completed?

Ladies, I contacted rafie but he mentioned that he is in NS now and can't do events on weekdays. Or if your bangle ceremony are on a weekday also, he likely will not be able to take it up. I took picbitz instead. I checked with kanthan Jay and subra but their costs were way too high. I am just not so willing to spend so much on bangle ceremony since I already took amore for actual day and they cost a bomb! But my person fav is subra..his photos are really nice!! Food and deco booked for bangle ceremony. I booked jds events but honestly I won't recommend them to others mua get booked really fast so for bangle ceremony I had to rush and find out who was available.

Engaged sharmila for actual day..any feedback on her or anything I should inform the mua in advance? She informed me I need to get my own wig for the traditional hairdo so not sure how to get that or anything I should look out for. I highly recommend everyone to go for a trial with your mua cause I didn't like my trial even though her pics were nice. So from the trial I could tell her what I wanted her to change. It would be better if you have a photo of the look you like so they can recreate it? Avoid booking without trials!

Done with my photoshoot as well so I will also get the photo to place on my Recep table..need to now do table planning and choose decor and do the food tasting. And importantly solemniser!!!

Any recommendations for rental cars?
And anyone has attended any traditional wedding at serangoon gardens country club?

Hi everyone, just joined this forum as I was looking around for my wedding next year. Hope to exchange some good info with everyone.

Im thinking of getting food from Gokul (since it is a temple wedding). Any comments from anyone?

Invitation cards from Dhivyam Cards in Singapore. Im just refusing to rely on online ones or even Malaysia for this.

Anyone knows where to rent wedding cars with deco?

Hi everyone and congrats!

I am actually a Malay girl but I would like to ask suggestions for henna services! My wedding is in jan 2017 but I am being kiasu and doing research on henna services. I was thinking of Syraskins (dunno if anyone have heard of them) but from what I understand I need to go to their studio to get my henna done and that might just be abit troublesome :(

What I like about them is they use those traditional henna, where you have to leave it on for hours. I see that some of my friends use those instant henna and I don't like that! Haha! Hope someone can throw me some options I can explore! Many thanks! And congrats everyone!

I recommend you visit syraskin. Even though its a studio. It is very comfortable and they have everything in house.

Dear All,

Does anyone have a rough idea of how much the rentl of Grassroots Club is for an indian wedding and what the seating capacity is?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello everyone! I hope all you wedding planing and research are going well... I wedding is on the 18th Dec 2015. I was wondering if anyone have contacts for making customized wedding bangles. I tried online but my hand sizing is quite odd. So I am looking for a local shop that can customize the bangles to my size. I would appreciate if you can give me rough estimate on how much it might cost to customize the bangles. Thank you.

DecemberGirl, I have seen at the shop beside jothi flower shop. The small shop with the Muslim chubby aunty sells customized bangles with the bride n groom name on it..

hi ladies,

Im new to this forum, i would like to know how to go about to prepare for my traditional hindu wedding. Tentatively we have arranged for 12/12/16. Of course this date might change after we consult the temple priest. I wanted to do the temple wedding at Layan Sithi Vinayagar Temple and evening reception as well. I am a bit lost here need your guidance. Which is the best place for reception to be held? I have a clear plan on which photography to take. I also need suggestions on the venue decorators as well. Please give as much suggestions as possible. Many thanks in advance.!!! :):):):)

Hi all brides to be..
I am Dec 2017 bride and need help on where to start. :(
Perhaps, let's start with some suggestions for the following
1) Photography & Videography (preferbly 1 vendor who could provide both)
2) Henna artists
3) Make up artist (looks like Harni and Mahes seems to be my top choice)
4) car rental
5) invitation cards (anyone can recommend a good one from india?)

Thanks @shasikala! Lots of indians are choosing Studio A. I have just sent my request to him. so will wait for his reply.
As for henna, Mona seems pricey but her works are really amazing!
Was just reccing ard for invitation cards.. looks like queens has a variety to choose from.. found that indian printers are relatively cheaper than M'sia and Singapore. Sadly, the cheaper ones done provide samples but the pricier ones (almost equal to msisa prices) do.. Anyone have any reccomendations for cards?

Hello there!

Does Mona have an Instagram or Facebook page? I would love to see her work!

@Santhya84 saras reena does beautiful henna as well in case u need another alternative. I am so sorry wedding invitation i have no contacts. if u do have kindly share with me. Thank You.:):)

@shasikala I think you can be spoilt for choices for makeup artists. Each has their own sense of style and creation.
Personally, I like Vimalaya's works for bringing out the natural beauty in her brides.
But if you are looking for extravagant ones, you may go to Seemren or Harni (although their slots can get taken up quickly!). I have also messaged Sung..
Anyone tried Mala (Spa Alangkara), Sumathi (Sumathi Bridal) or Vijeya Perumal before? They have been in the industry for long, but are their works old and products of good quality?

went for PicBitz and really regretting the end result...
regretting not engaging A studio.
Our most precious memories are not captured.
It is such a disppointment.
Check the work of the photographer who is engaged to your event.
The company many have few photographers and they may present to u their best photographers profile. In the end the one who attend to you event maybe someone else from the same company . Each photogrpahers has their own unique way of taking. Lesson learnt spend more and go for professionals.

@MayaManja thanks for letting me know of this. I almost booked him bcos he was one of the cheapest as per the quality in his fb.. I have also messaged Sathia.. hope he can reply me faster.. ;) I am still struggling for wedding cards.. I m hoping to print by end Dec/Jan.. any lobang?
