Meeting a few company this weekend to look at AD photo & video.

But I signed my bridal package back in 2012 during a wedding fair. So far I've finalised my gowns for Nov 27 photoshoot, my ROM on Dec 31 external venue, almost ROM stuffs are done.
Now I'm in the midst of finalising my AD wedding dinner venue after viewing a few locations. Haha, quite stressed, seems like tons of things to do, but I have not done yet!

Haha, think the best perk is to login the price as of the year when signing. So my package was about $2688 back then under French Wedding.
If you haven't sign for any package, I think it's best to look for suitable ones before end of 2015 cause some times certain bridal studio packages will have yearly price revision, might go higher each year, just like banquets.

I'm under French Wedding for reasonably priced package. Some of my friends engaged Z Weddings. But if you budget is higher than average, can take a look at Labelle Couture.

Typically for a AD dinner wedding, how many hours of PG or VG do we need? In what cases we need 2nd PG or VG?

Usually it's 10hrs for AD and mostly engage only either 1 PG and 1 VG, or some engage just 1 person who can do both duties.
My friends who are photographers/videographers suggest to engage 2 PG or VG unless we are looking for more photo shots captured from more angles and we'll have more choices of photos taken. If we just keep it the usual simple way, 1 each is sufficient enough

Hi Dear , that day is a good day for wedding and nice number too!
I have already booked my hotel at Fullerton and my bridal shoot I just signed up w TWC.
I heard this coming Saturday 7/11 they have bridal fair , you can keep a look out, because some bridal shop will give you lots of perks.
Although is 11/11/16 Still has one year to go, very excited! Start to buying some sisters' clothes.
Besides , do you have engage with emcee or live band?

not sure about restaurant dinner timing but for banquet, 2 hours is a bit tight. most dinners from 8pm to 11pm. you might not have enough time to capture your precious shot.

Nope.. we didn't engage emcee as my sister and my htb cousin was so eager to volunteered to be emcee.
We are still thinking if we should get a live band or not.. any recommendation?

Attended quite a number of wedding past few months.. most of them start their 2nd march in @ 9-9:30pm.

Agreed, I just saw the couple at conrad last night march in only at 930ish and banq 1058 yet finish :/ so long huh ? Wondering hotel has a limit on time haha

if I'm not wrong, there's a stipulated timing for ballroom usage in the contract eg. 7-11pm. if exceed then have to pay hourly charges. but I've never heard of hotels really invoicing for the exceeded time so far la..

If you think you will exceed the stipulated timing, you can ask the banquet venue if they do charge for it. I checked with my venue before signing the contract

Not all VG can do morning highlights for luncheon, but there are VGs who are able to. Must check
If the VG u like doesnt provide such service, maybe u guys can play childhood montage video
My VG did an awesome job for the morning highlights for my wedding lunch just a week ago. I've been re-watching for over a dozen times since cos it just captured the moments so nicely. If you're interested, I can give you his contact. I'll see if I can upload my highlights too.
It really depends on what your schedule is like. I tried to ask quite a number of videographers. Some outright rejected me while others say they will need at least 2 hours in between for them to do editing. So it really depends on yourself. Otherwise you can get two videographers if budget permits and they can do shift work. I choose to go without videographer since I don't plan to do gatecrashing. =)
Hey babe! we engaged forest productions as we really like their works. Met up with Christopher few months back and we had a 2hrs long conversation! He is not stingy on sharing his experience and giving you lots of tips for your wedding.. He even took time to run through our wedding schedule and point out certain stuff on how we can expedite and make it run smoother. You should really shortlist a few company and meet them up, i think some of the video online don't really justified their works as most of them are outdated.

If you get those with 2 vg.. you got a higher chance to get SDE for lunch I think.. or there are some who require you to top-up a few hundred to rush SDE.
As recommended by a graduated bride from this thread (faith is her name if I'm not wrong), I met up with aferriswheel and they are more than willing to do a lunch express edit! If ur budget permits, I would say go with rekordhaus because they come with 2 videographers with half day vg at $2280 the last time I asked them. But they require about 4 hours of editing time. I think anyone with only one vg and promises to deliver within 2 hours is just over promising because the quality of the editing may be compromised? Also consider beyond pictures if you have got a higher budget coz their work is really awesome! Aferriswheel is on the lower end below $2k hope that helps!

My VG, Robin, is an independent freelancer who tags on to other photographers. I got to know him through a pretty popular photographer I shortlisted from this forum, but I didn't go with the PG in the end because his style wasn't really what I wanted.wow which company did you engage?
I chose Robin cos I like the fun and lively style of his videos. Being very very affordable, not many videographers in his price range take the trouble to cut dialogue into the highlights. Most just slap a background song and let the images run, which imo takes away all the joyous atmosphere. If you are interested in viewing my lunch express highlights, feel free to PM me!
