Have not decided yet.. Considering between The Aisle and Digio for my actual day :) or ala-carte.. Meaning get MTM customize gowns, flower vendor and MUA separately..

My pre wedding will be by Multifold Photography :) in Korea! It will be ala-carte too.. I'm more excited over this.. Still thinking if I can find a gown to bring over.. Otherwise will be a casual lovescapade!

Ohhh ic, I have almost the same idea... either pre-wedding sign up a package (am currently looking to go Kyoto, Seoul or Bali) can't decide. ;)
On the wedding day probably I will get a seperate photographer and MUA if I can't hire the whole team of the bridal shop I am eyeing to here.
Have you found any good MTM gowns shop ?Mind sharing...Tks.

Hi Esvta,

Wow Korea PS is cool! I'm leaning towards ala carte myself, just so I can feel like I have more control =p

ichinx: I've been asking around and have narrowed down to a few: Divine Couture, Dang Bridal, Emmanuel B and The Wedding Present. I haven't visited all of them yet, so will have to update on my experiences! I think these are some that have decent reviews in general. Not sure about the rest, as I've also only just started researching. Think will check out The Aisle and Di Gio too!

GummiTummi: yay! finally found another july 2014 bride [: but my date not confirmed and I haven't even started planning anything yet! /:

Esvta: nice! I work with multifolds from time to time [: they have great photos!

ichinx/Esvta/GummiTummi: I agree, a la carte more control. may cost a little bit more than bridal package but these days, a lot of PGs or VGs have tie-ups with gown shops etc and it may be worth it to spend a little more on getting exactly what you want! (this coming from a potential bridezilla..) :p

Emmanuel B is nice too.. Esp their cheongsam! But seem to be kinda ex.. I'm looking around budget yet good MTM.. Like Vivian gowns.. Seem like lavita brides also like not bad.. Hmm..

Ala-carte might have more control.. But it also mean more time and effort in managing it.. ESP the last 3mths before your wedding.. That's the reason why I'm swaying away from it as much as I wanted it.. I'm afraid I'll "boom" and become really stressed up over it nearer the date which is no good.. Cause BTB should always be calm and stay happy so that u will look pretty on wedding day.. Haha!

Share w me your research too :))

Oh! Speaking of cheongsams, there's this place on the 2nd floor of Lucky Chinatown, called Iris and Edel. They do traditional and modern cheongsams, seem to be pretty good! My mum tailored her traditional CS there a few years ago for my brother's wedding and it turned out pretty well. Quite nice and budget. If I ultimately end up doing ala carte I might go with them too. I didn't see the tailor when I visited but they had quite a lot of samples.

They don't seem to do much of other types of gowns though, so yea, Esvta you're right! If I do ala carte, I'll have to run between 2/3 places just for the dresses alone..... Eeeeuurk.

Ooo... I've been wanting to go Chinatown and check out the shops but haven got the time.. Now w the haze, it just make me lazier.. Lol

For those popular shops, usually have to book advance in case the date u r having Guo da li is a popular date and they have too many orders.. I think 3mths before should be reasonable?

I'm looking for mini cream cakes.. without the tradition pastries.. any idea where I can find cheap ones? Haha!

I check out sweetest moments website.. Theirs are lovely.. with a chic box and personalize card.. But a little ex.. Considering Choz Confectionery too but they don't seem to have mini cream cake only..

If anybody have any contacts, pls share :)

Following the posts, it seems like many of us going Korea for our bridal shoot!
I think mine option a bit different, because my photo shoot is going to be done by the korean photographers frm Louvre Bridal instead of bringing my photographer to Korea.
My partner and I prefer this way, easier as we don't need to carry the heavy gowns all the way.:p

Yeah, I really took a liking to their gowns. Liked z wedding the best but pricing is much higher and perks also not as fantastic as la belle. Rico service is quite good, was served by Sinny and she persuaded me to try on a gown for fitting.

Hearing from my sister's experience, her advice is that there is only so much we can try to expect from the models' photo shoot because we are not models and we may not strike such good chemistry with the photographer in just 1 day as compared to the one doing it for work. So, have to leave some room for reality check, then again, my stand is as long as their service is good, even if it means its a little pricier or paying for more misc stuffs, the couple feels happy doing it. Everyone have their own likings and preference, hope you & your HTB is happy with whoever you signed the package with. :)

Ya I agree most important is their service. Part of the reason I sign up with Rico also. I tried about 5 gowns at Rico and my coordinator Fann was very accommodating and she knows exactly what kind of gowns are suitable for me. I would have signed on with Sophia also as their package was really comprehensive but I wasn't too keen in their gowns though they are nice too.

Which hotel? You can try seletar broadway, the lourve bridal. Those along tanjong pagar are quite expensive. Actually it depends on your negotiating skills. It may be more ex but you may get more things which you actually set aside for other things during your preparation.

Oh I actually booked earlier than wedding show but my coordinator asked me to pay my deposit on wedding show to get the wedding show perks instead. I'm not too sure if they still offer now though.
