Mine is in oct and I have settled most of the big items. I am only left with the ad videographer and also the pre wedding mua. I am also signing the contract with a wedding planner on sat and all should be good!

Will be getting the house in time for the wedding as well so need to settle the wedding things fast otherwise will be v stress next year

Hello leess18! We've settled on hotel, bridal shop n live band so far... now checking out n comparing prices for AD photographer & videographer quitea big headache jus to look at all these big ticket items. What about you?

I have been through this, meeting few Photographer/videographer then interview them. Very tedious. At first, estimated to spend 3k for PG and VG but turned out pay more than 2k only.

I signed up for Pentagraphy Studios, both photography and videography. My ROM is next month and AD is next year. I signed up for instant print photobooth for ROM, but have yet to decide to engage instant print for my AD, still thinking, I saw they did for my friend's wedding before, quite professional. A closed friend of mine engaged them in June 2013, very well-done, I saw the photos as well, meet my humble expectation and the price is reasonable. So far, the customer service is good. They respond my inquiry very fast.Most important, both my GTB and I feel comfortable working the photographer/videographer.

I really tempted to but the make-up artist is booked on my ROM as a friend of mine engaged their full package (photography, videography, instant print and make-up service) not so long ago. The MUA is a Malays lady, but she did the make-up and hair-do for my friend so nice. I have no choice but to go for a MUA from a bridal shop. I hardly see any MUA charge lower than $300 for 2-sessions make-up and hair-do and free ampoule. My friend got it from them at ~$250.

Are you intending to go for a pre-wedding videoshoot with them, so some shoot is included in the morning express highlight? My husband's schedule is a bit tight, I still don't know can get that part done or not, otherwise, the morning express highlight will be just preparation, gatecrashing, and tea-ceremony, a bit too normal, all the wedding having a same thing.

Thanks for the reply! Finally! Someone to discuss with . Budget wise i think anything under 5k is acceptable for me (unless it's something i REALLY like). Yeah i checked out some of the designers' websites such as Tan Yoong, Jessicacindy, Olive Suite, TTMD... those are the few that caught my eyes. But i was wondering if anybody has any experience making a dress with them and how was the experience like.

Once you set the date with the hotel, can tell the bs already. So that they can block out the ad for you and also book the mua.

How soon should we tell them our preferred date for PS? I was told 3 months before the date, but seems to me that it's quite late? The photog we want may not be available by then. We're thinking of doing ours in Apr next year, wondering if Oct is too early to tell them...

I informed digio when I got my AD. Elson told me I should start my gown fitting in Dec and PS is targeted to be in March. SHould be more than sufficient time.

Carine is also my co-ordinator. She is really a nice lady... but a lot of time she didnt really have time to serve me... Tink she got too many customer... but she will assign people to help out.. The folks at Di Gio are all very nice...

I suggest u factor in more time for PS. I regret never listen to my friend advise. She went for PS half a year earlier. Have plenty of time to choose and amend the photos...

I'm considering a MTM gown from my bridal studio as it's included in my package but actually, on my 1st fitting I already found white gown and evening gown that suits me and that I like. But just feel that since MTM is in the package, it's so wasted not to exercise that option.

As for actual day photog and videographer, I got below-market-rate prices! In all, they only cost me $1,400! The people I chose....are ok only. I've seen their works, they are ok. Acceptable but not super awesome. But I don't mind as I don't wanna waste too much $$$ on those.

Just quite worried cos my wedding is a big one with church and a 50 tables dinner at night. Thinking about it makes me O.O!!!!!!

All the coordination's gonna be crazy!! But thankfully, my fiance is helping me, listening to my 'orders'. hahaha.

I suggest you email your shortlisted hotels on availability for the date you want; then meet up with the hotels for detailed explanation and go from there. Sep/Oct would be too late especially since May 10th is a hot date and a Sat. Good luck!

For bridal I quite like aisle bridal. Calla seems to have beautiful gowns. But settle your venue first.

For my wedding, I got digio and holding it at grand copthorne waterfront hotel.

You can actually request for viewing of the ballrooms first and to review the packages. You can then ask the sales person to reserve the date for you temporarily first then sign the package only on the showcase day to secure the additional perks.

I think calla has nice gowns too, not sure about the package though. I signed up with digio also because of this designer.

Oh dear. You have alternative venues or alternative dates?

If really your date is a hot date, then you need to have a couple of alternative venues and also sign early in case other couples sign it with them.

I could share with you my package but I don't know if it is a good gauge now since mine was signed more than 2 years back. So prices would have differed significantly.

How many tables are you looking at? Gcw is a good option.

Whats GCW?

I viewed the regent before and almost confirmed with them but didnt eventually. Its not bad!! The hotel is pretty classy and they have a nice dessert thingy they can throw in for free if book over 40 tables! I liked tt!! Plus regent price is lower as compared to other 5 star hotels..good value!!!

Some reasons why I was not so hot on regent though:
- bridal suite not that impressive to me (but my mom liked it)
- ballroom not tt impressive but its okkk generally. ..

Natalie was my coordinator. She's v professional and calm. Lol...

I have eventually chosen MBS as the ballroom has high ceiling and is huge.
They probably raised prices since may or june thats why they could offer a good discount at their recent wedding show (speculation only). I do hope MBS can offer u a good price too during their next show.

Signed on with beautiful love almost immediately after my bf proposed... too gan chiong. ..abit regret! !

I saw a not so good review of digio by someone here...u might wanna check tt out. However I have had no experience with them hence can't advise u on tt.
