Chloe and Victor’s Bright and Citrusy Wedding at Wheeler’s Estate

Chloe and Victor’s bright and citrusy wedding at Wheeler’s Estate was filled with beautiful ikebana-style florals in gorgeous sorbet tones.

Chloe Lee, 32, Accountant, and Victor Siaw, 30, Sales Executive, tied the knot in a gorgeous and vibrant wedding on 11 October 2021 in the woods at Wheeler’s Estate, and feasted their family and friends in a bright and beautiful wedding reception filled with summery citrus and sorbet hues.

How did you first meet?

Victor: We began dating in April 2006. It was a warm night when I first met her at our mutual friend’s birthday celebration. I remember vividly the moment I first laid eyes on my wife, I knew she was the one. Our story did not continue until our reconnection two years later. We have been inseparable ever since. We truly are best friends and just so in love with each other.

What made you fall in love with your partner?

Victor: We’ve experienced some of the sweetest moments and persevered through some of the toughest seasons. Day by day, I am reassured by my wife’s genuine kindness. I have learned how to love and be loved by her. I cannot imagine my life without her, nor do I want to. She has already given me a lifetime full of memories and laughter.

Chloe: My husband and I began dating when I was a senior in high school. We shared a similar upbringing and values which instantly clicked and connected us. His incredible qualities, both inside and out, shine through since the beginning of this relationship. His sense of humour and romance has kept the spark alive between us.

What was the proposal like?

Fast forward 12 years later, we decided to tie the knot. We figured that getting married was the next thing to cross off the checklist.

Victor: I wanted the proposal to be memorable. So, I planned a getaway to Phuket, Thailand, with a group of close friends. The proposal happened in a restaurant with a picturesque sea view. Halfway through the meal, while Chloe was looking out to sea admiring the vibrant sunset, I saw it as the prime opportunity. I immediately pulled the ring box out of my pocket and went down on one knee popping the ultimate question. Chloe was ecstatic and accepted my proposal. It was surreal and magical. I’ll never forget the emotions that I felt from her. Our Phuket proposal trip will be unforgettable.

What was your wedding theme and how did you create it?

A colour burst of citrus and modern sorbet tones. We yearned for a unique wedding theme and we bought materials through online platforms, except for the flowers. We combined ultra-romantic tapered candles with fruits of vibrant colour and ikebana-style floral arrangements. It was complemented by baby blue velvet tablecloths to recreate a fresh and bright ceremony.

What was your wedding day like?

It was emotional and we were amazed at all the support and love received from our friends and family. The day was relished with good food, wine, and joy.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?

When we were exchanging vows. The moment was incredibly powerful and meaningful as we put all our emotions we felt into words to summarise our love and dreams. We were overwhelmed but it gave us the chance to examine our relationships, old and new.
