A Romantic Wedding Feast Under The Stars at Wheeler’s Estate
Situated in a statuesque black-and-white colonial building, Wheeler’s Estate has steadily remained as a popular wedding destination for couples looking to wed in Singapore.
Since its opening three years ago, Wheeler’s Estate has quickly claimed soon-to-be-wed couples’ hearts as the location for an out-of-Singapore wedding without having to leave its sunny shores. Housed in a beautifully restored two-storey heritage building at The Oval @ Seletar Aerospace, Wheeler’s Estate is built on a 2-acre wide former British military airbase, featuring wide, open green fields that give off a quaint English countryside vibe.
Featuring distinctively different dining spaces and experiences on each of its floors, Wheeler’s Estate is a multifaceted venue that offers unique spaces perfect for the wedding celebration of your dreams. The iconic silver Bambi trailer parked right on the front lawn is a popular choice for intimate solemnisations that are oh-so-Instagrammable while The Greenhouse and Pavilion on the ground floor, and The Verandah on the second floor are perfect for bigger solemnisations that will make your heart skip a beat.
Once you’ve exchanged your “I dos”, take your pick from the venue’s one-of-a-kind spaces to fulfill your dream wedding. For a more laid-back celebration with a cosy group, head to the al-fresco café on the ground floor or celebrate under the stars at the Star and Sky Deck on the lawn with a bigger party. For couples seeking a more elegant affair in the comfort of an air-conditioned space, The Verandah on the second floor is an excellent choice with its contemporary chic interiors and furnishings.
Star Deck on Level 1 – 80 guests
Sky Deck on Level 1 – 120 to 170 guests
Al-fresco Café inclusive of lawn on Level 1 – up to 800 guests
The Verandah on Level 2 – 120 guests
A beautiful marriage of rustic outdoors and modern elegant interiors, Wheeler’s Estate is more than just a picturesque venue for weddings. They are also home to an appetising menu of treats that are specially crafted to complement the wedding you’ve chosen to host at their charming spaces. With options from 3 to 5-course set menus, buffet, butler canapés and live rotisserie to choose from, you and your guests can enjoy exquisite Australian and modern European fare by head Chef Lai Kar Foong, a highly experienced chef in fine dining formerly from another popular restaurant popular for weddings.
We were invited to sample their 5-course set wedding menu which included a highly popular dish among couples and their guests, the Oven-Roasted Whole Salmon with Gremolata & Lemon. Moist and flavourful, served in a generous portion, it was easy to see why it was a hot favourite among couples.
Other dishes on the menu, such as the Creamy Truffle Medley of Mushrooms with Croute, Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli with Pistachio Cream, and Beef Tenderloin with Potato Gratin, Tomato Fondant & Red Wine Jus, were equally as delicious and wholesome. We ended on a sweet note with the pretty looking (and extremely decadent!) Chocolate Dome with Fresh Berry & Raspberry Sauce.
Aside from the usual menu options, couples can also opt for Wheeler’s Estate’s Live Station menu for a different wedding and dining experience, where they and their guests can dine under the stars as they celebrate your once-in-a-lifetime in a casual and laid-back fashion without sacrificing on the quality and taste of the food. Vegetarian menus and Halal options are also available, including options for other dietary restrictions such as Vegan and Pescatarian, so feel free to speak to the planners at Wheeler’s Estate to customise your wedding menu to suit your needs.
With a choice of multiple one-of-a-kind spaces that offer the best of a casual backyard wedding and a modern elegant wedding, and a tantalising selection of gastronomic dishes that promise to put a smile on all your guests’ faces, Wheeler’s Estate is your go-to venue for a wedding experience that you can’t get anywhere else.
