Run Away With Me—A Dreamy Bohemian Elopement Styled Shoot
Let this beautiful bohemian elopement styled shoot take you on a whirlwind of romance as the bride tosses up her lace gown and runs away with her love with lush florals, celebratory cake, and a floral milk bath! Plus, our bride shares her beauty secrets, and we give you a chance to WIN a pampering beauty treatment worth $1,888!
This dreamy bohemian elopement styled shoot will take you on a whirlwind of romance and adventure as real couple Zi Hui and Wei Quan exchange promises in the idyll of Sentosa. With light in her eyes and the wind and flowers in her hair, our bride tosses up her beautiful lace gown and runs into her lover’s arms. As they stand hand in hand before a romantic arch blooming with lush flowers, they read handwritten letters to each other, making tearful promises for a life together, before holding each other close.
Lighthearted and carefree, they sit down to a sweetheart table laden with beautiful treats, lips parting to laugh, whisper sweet words, or accept offerings of celebratory cake. After the sun sets, they escape to their suite for a candlelit night with a milk-and-flower-filled bath for two.
Beautifully captured by Darren and Jade Photography, the shoot began in the luxurious bridal suite at Capella Singapore, made even more stunning with gorgeous floral creations by Florals by Benita and romantic styling by Med Kärlek Inc.
Bride Lim Zi Hui, 28, Senior Product Manager, was given soft, loose waves and natural makeup by Dollei Seah from The Makeup Entourage. Dressed in one of the lovely lace gowns from Frieda Brides, Zi Hui had a quiet moment of contemplation before meeting her groom, Ng Wei Quan, 31, Consultant, for a stroll in the serene Capella Singapore.
With a rosy sunset on the horizon, the couple clasped hands in front of a diamond floral wedding arch, designed by Med Kärlek Inc. and built by 1011 Productions, dressed by Florals by Benita. Their words having been calligraphed onto pretty keepsakes by Nicnkotori, Zi Hui and Wei Quan had an emotional moment reading their promises to each other.
To celebrate, the sweethearts fed each other cake and macarons at a table set for two, beautifully styled with gorgeous flowers, props, candles by Candles of Light, and a cake, glittering macarons, painted cookies, and lavender-scented panna cotta by Once Upon A Table. Ending a perfect day, a romantic night began with a milky floral bath in a sultry lace robe from Bells and Birds.
We’re so thankful to have worked with such a great team to create this beautiful bohemian elopement styled shoot. Congratulations to Zi Hui and Wei Quan too, who have been a model couple, and who have just gotten married on 3 December 2017! Here’s them sharing more about their story.
How did the two of you meet?
Zi Hui: His good looks caught my attention, which then developed into a huge crush back in university. (He doesn’t know!) A mutual friend then set us up and we went on a couple of school trekking trips together where we got to see each other at our “worse” and “ugliest”!
What drew you to each other and what’s one of the things you love most about your partner?
Zi Hui: I was attracted to his looks and masculine build first! But what I really like about Wei Quan is, despite his intimidating looks, he is a really gentle and genuinely nice guy!
Wei Quan: Zi Hui was very friendly and there was no awkwardness during our pre-dating days. It was the good and comfortable feeling after each meet up that drew me to her. After seven years, I would say I really like her maturity. She is independent and clearly knows what she wants. She is a partner with whom I can have deep conversations.
What was the proposal like?
Zi Hui: It was an intimate proposal, surrounded by my family, a close girlfriend, and lots of fairy lights against the setting sun. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!
How did you prepare for your wedding?
Zi Hui: The nature of my job means long hours and a high level of stress. I noticed my skin was getting dull and my pigmentation worsened after an overseas trip. A friend then recommended me to Mizu Aesthetic Clinic for treatments to achieve the “bridal glow”. I started intensifying my beauty regime six months prior to my wedding by going for specific treatments at Mizu on top of my monthly facials.
I underwent the Pro Yellow Laser treatment and the Ultraformer HIFU treatment. My pigmentations (which are hereditary) were largely gone by the second treatment! There was an overall brightening effect on my skin, and it is less prone to breakouts. In recent weeks, I also had friends commenting that my face looked sharper and my jawline more prominent when they saw my pictures. My guess is the Ultraformer HIFU treatment must have taken effect in tightening my jowls!
Plenty of rest, regular workouts, and healthy meals in the weeks leading up to the wedding really helped too!
How are you looking forward to married life?
Zi Hui: We have been dating for close to seven years now, so I am really looking forward to building a home and family together as a married couple next!
Wei Quan: The best part of married life will be coming home to Zi Hui every day, which also means more time for couple workouts and cookouts!
