Michelle Huimin Bridal Veil: A Preview of The Latest Timeless Elegance Collection
Expect bold mermaid and dreamy ballgown silhouettes in the latest Timeless Elegance collection by Michelle Huimin Bridal Veil and The Men’s Club.
Earlier in August, we were invited to The Showcase by Michelle Huimin Bridal Veil for the launch of their latest wedding collection, Timeless Elegance. The collection comprises of 27 beautiful gowns and contemporary groom’s suits by The Men’s Club in their signature structured and clean lines, featuring timeless designs with bespoke couture bows that add a touch of fun to the silhouettes.
Together with invited guests and newlyweds-to-be, we gathered outside the boutique for a fun and casual bridal runway showcase of the Timeless Elegance collection. The show kicked off with five real life couples who’ve wedded in Michelle Huimin’s modern creations, offering us a glimpse of the beauties she’d designed for their happily-ever-afters. A change in music cued the runway takeover as models dressed elegantly in the latest collection waltzed down the hallway, giving the audience a closer look of the stunning dresses in a variety of colours, silhouettes and luxurious fabrics such as duchess satin, french lace and tulle.
The star of that afternoon’s showcase has got to be the Grand Finale gown. Named the Queen, the key piece in this collection is a structured duchess silk satin mermaid gown in pure white, combined with layers of black tulle to create a ballgown skirt, complete with couture folds. This statement piece has two distinct necklines and encapsulates the essence of the collection – classic, modern, confident and stylish.
Grooms-to-be at the showcase were not left out as The Men’s Club unveiled their latest suit collection for the contemporary groom. Featuring a more modern and fun take to the conventional groom’s suit, Colin from The Men’s Club turned to fabrics and patterns such as plaid to add a dash of vibrancy and modernity to his creations. Grooms who are not as adventurous to try patterned suits can consider spicing the traditional groom’s suit with a unique U-shaped neckline vest, a design created by Colin to give the suit a modern twist.
The Timeless Elegance collection displays Michelle Huimin’s prowess in reinventing classics, using familiar fabrics such as duchess satin and tulle together or separately to create a modern take of a time-honoured silhouette that exudes a different mood and style while keeping true to her signature structured and clean lines.
