Post Event Release
Amidst lush greeneries, a stunning alfresco sea view and timed just right so that you could have the sunset as a backdrop at Bob’s Bar, Capella Hotel Sentosa, Michelle HuiMin Bridal Veil and Colin Lee of The Men’s Club unveil their couture collection 2012/13 on the 20th August 2011 at 6pm.
Celebrity host Melody Chen opened the show as guests were generously served champagne and canapes lounging on recliners or seated theatre style as models from Carrie Models sashayed down the runway in the resplendent collection that showcased the inimitable elegant style that is synonymous with Michelle HuiMin Bridal Veil.
A refreshing twist was evident in the quirky cheongsams that were both fun and cutting edge. A designer’s coming of age and taking her designs to the next level.
Refreshingly stunning are the words to describe the couture collection 2012/13. Wearable couture that features asymmetrical and intricate details with clever accessorising.
The two hundred or so guests were treated to a spectacular showcase of elegant clean-line gowns that paid a lot of attention to good cuts and quality fabrics from all over Europe and Asia. Exquisite workmanship is also the key hallmark style of a Bridal Veil gown.
The prelude to the show had four models donning a Michelle HuiMin gown and wearing fine jewelry from Boucheron doing still poses.
The clean timeless designs will certainly bring out the personalities of brides-to-be. Men’s suits are conceptualised with the gowns in mind so that they complement the look.
Gown segments were alternated with suits from The Men’s Club and designer Colin Lee had something for everyone. The collection speaks of glamour, fun and elegance. Celebrity and model Randall Tan also made a surprise appearance, working the runway donning the dashing suits.
The glam factor was upped with celebrities like Adrian Pang, Patricia Mok, Ng Hui, Glenda Chong, Carole Lin and Vernetta Lopez (to name a few), who graced the event. Also rubbing shoulders were Capella’s international management executives and wedding planners, the team from Swarovski and media like Style Weddings, Channel News Asia and Tatler.
All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon touring with Capella topped by a resoundingly successful polished show featuring beautiful gowns and great gourmet food.
