Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel’s To Love. To Hold. To Cherish Wedding Extravaganza
Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel’s final wedding showcase of the year was also its grandest of 2016. The To Love. To Hold. To Cherish Wedding Extravaganza was an exciting event filled with a bridal fashion show, wedding themes, and a sit-down menu sampling.
On Saturday, 19 November 2016, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel held their final wedding show of the year. The To Love. To Hold. To Cherish Wedding Extravaganza was also the hotel’s grandest wedding show of 2016, unveiling beautiful wedding themes and delicious wedding menus amidst a glamorous bridal fashion runway show.
The newly renovated hotel lobby welcomed about 70 couples to an afternoon of romance as guests headed to Level 4 for the event. Wedding vendors of various specialties showcased their services in the spacious foyer before the Grand Ballroom’s doors opened to reveal a spectacular wedding theme. With its imposing gazebos and billowing canopies graced with elegant chandeliers, the Blissful Blush theme certainly set the stage for a grand event. Seating up to 650 guests banquet-style, the pillarless Grand Ballroom is an impressive space in which to seal your marriage vows. A live band serenaded everyone as they found their seats at the table for the 5-course luncheon serving wedding banquet highlights such as braised lobster soup with assorted seafood and golden mushrooms, slow-cooked pork spare rib in red burgundy sauce, and stir-fried fresh scallops with macadamia in black Taiwan soy beans.
The showcase commenced with warm congratulations to each couple on embarking on the next chapter in their relationship. The chandeliers dimmed in anticipation of the bridal runway show by Alisha & Lace. Known for their romantic lace designs, the bridal boutique sent on-trend confections down the runway, featuring illusion tulle necklines, flowing tulle skirt overlays on shorter hemlines, and sexy silhouettes. Sparkling sequinned tulle and glittering embellishments gave the evening gowns a touch of sophisticated glamour, in jewelled tones perfect for the big night.
As the models made their final walk down the aisle, the curtains were drawn for a stunning reveal of the full-length glass windows lining one entire wall of the Grand Ballroom. Natural daylight streamed in while framing a refreshing view of the garden outside, and its exquisite gazebo entwined with twinkling, romantic fairy lights. The open windows brought the outdoors in, giving the ballroom an enchanting garden feel.
On Level 3, a dessert buffet displaying highlights such as strawberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and yam paste with gingko nuts invited couples on the first step of their tour around Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel’s solemnisation and wedding venues.
Ideal for weddings hosting up to 350 guests, the Waterfront Ballroom is also easily configurable into smaller venues for more intimate celebrations. With full-length glass windows that illuminate the room with natural daylight, the Riverfront Ballroom was decorated in the Enchanted Spring wedding theme with ethereal baby’s breath lining the aisle. Outside, views of the Singapore River and the impressive Promenade provide a natural backdrop to wedding celebrations.
The unique Promenade sits on the banks of the Singapore River, creating a fairytale setting with its imposing white architecture and magnificent fountains. Guests witness your outdoor solemnisation in a circle around the romantically dressed gazebo while you exchange your vows against a backdrop of the river.
After a lovely afternoon of bridal runway designs, tours of waterfront wedding venues, and exclusive wedding package perks, the To Love. To Hold. To Cherish Wedding Extravaganza concluded with 10 lucky couples winning exciting gifts from the Grand Lucky Draw.
