A Su.purr.licious Tea Party at Poh Heng
On 12 August 2014, Poh Heng Jewellery celebrated Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary with an afternoon tea party and boy, was it a happening one!
The party was filled with Hello Kitty lovers of all ages and was already bustling with activity when my private limousine dropped me off at the Poh Heng Jewellery outlet at Orchard Shopping Center. And it’s no wonder everyone’s enthusiasm levels peaked upon entering the shop as I spied a pretty Hello Kitty themed dessert table, photo booth and a Kitty-licious nail parlour. Even I got excited as I made my way towards the beckoning treats on the dessert table! There were cake pops, frosted cookies and Hello Kitty shaped cakes, and they were all so utterly cute that I whipped out my iPhone and started snapping away at the beautiful set-up from various angles, just like the others around the table were doing!
But upon closer look, I’ve got to say that the real stars of the dessert table weren’t the edible beauties, but the gorgeous Hello Kitty pendants and assorted jewellery that were cleverly nestled amongst the treats.
Amongst the Hello Kitty jewellery on display was the highly anticipated Pretty Please collection by Poh Heng Jewellery. The Pretty Please collection consists of four pendants, one for every decade, and features the adorable Hello Kitty embellished with precious stones such as diamonds, rubies and sapphires, in yellow, white or rose gold. Laid out on a cupcake stand that was positioned right in the center of the dessert table were three pieces from the Pretty Please collection, including the limited edition Sugar Plum Kitty Pendant in 18K White Gold with diamonds and pink sapphires. And as an extra glamourous touch, every purchase of a Poh Heng Hello Kitty fine jewellery piece is accompanied with a chic one-of-a-kind limited edition Black Hello Kitty jewellery box. How cool is that!

The Kitty-licious nail parlour was also a huge hit amongst the ladies as they patiently queued up for beautiful Hello Kitty inspired nails. The afternoon concluded with the Super Cute Kitty Fashion Presentation, where the models paraded around the shop in three different outfits wearing assorted Hello Kitty jewellery, showcasing its versatility.
I had a great time at the party and left with an extremely adorable Fuchsia pink (my favourite shade of pink!) Hello Kitty bag that contained the limited edition Black Hello Kitty jewellery box. A huge thank you to Poh Heng Jewellery for inviting us down to this fabulous party!
Poh Heng Jewellery’s Hello Kitty “Pretty Please” collection will be available from end August at all Poh Heng stores.
