The Glamourous Factory’s Beauty Buffet
I love nothing more than to treat myself to a pampering session after a week of staring at computer screens and typing away on keyboards, so I could hardly contain my joy when The Glamourous Factory invited me down to try out their very first beauty buffet on 18 July!
Conveniently located at The Clift on McCallum Street, The Glamourous Factory is a one-stop beauty salon offering manicure and pedicure services, facial treatments and grooming services. The cosy salon is easy to get to and so near both Raffles and Tanjong Pagar MRT stations that I didn’t even break into a sweat whilst walking under our sweltering hot sun.
I was impressed with the attentiveness of the friendly staff who seated me whilst they walked me through the list of services offered during the one-day beauty buffet. I was allowed to pick 3 services for my trial, so I went with an express Gelish manicure, an express pedicure and an eyebrow grooming and shaping session. The salon was comfortably quiet and empty, a welcomed change in environment as compared to the busy streets outside, and I appreciated the privacy I was given as I made myself comfortable in their huge leather armchairs.
My manicurists were extremely gentle and patient as they prepared my nails for my manicure and pedicure session. When I couldn’t decide on a colour, they were kind enough to help me pick out a colour that complemented my skin tone. And boy were they quick! In a little over 30 minutes, I was ready to hit the town with well-shaped and prettily painted nails. And the whole process was so unobtrusive and pain-less that I almost forgot I was having a manicure!
Next up was my eyebrow grooming and shaping session. I was led into a small room with a clean bed comfortably padded with towels to provide maximum comfort whilst lying down for a facial treatment or grooming session. The beautician gently tucked me under more towels to keep me warm and my clothes clean whilst she worked on my brows. Her touch was feather-like and precise, and during the entire 5 minutes she hovered over my brows to perfect them, I didn’t even feel a thing! It was quick, pain-free and the best of all, it left no unsightly red marks on my eyelids!
All in all, it took me less than 45 minutes to get ready! Definitely a great place to come to for a quick fix-me-up for a business meeting or a girl’s night out (or simply for a well-deserved pampering session) for ladies working around the CBD area. The Glamourous Factory is also located in Plaza Singapura for ladies who prefer to visit an outlet situated in the heart of town.
