Old-World Glamour at Masons
After witnessing the luxurious elegance of the 1920s in the sparkling extravaganza of The Great Gatsby, many fashionable couples now dream of celebrating their big day in the classic luxury of the good old day. At Masons Wedding Fair 2013, guests were treated to a garden tea party set against the beautiful backdrop of majestic greenery and colonial black and white architecture.
Music cascaded over the bright, sunny afternoon as soon-to-be-wed couples were transported to the Jazz Age. Housed in the fully restored classic bungalow built by the British in 1935, Masons’ old-world charm and elegant features gave couples a vision of playing the sophisticated host to their friends and family. The picture perfect location offered more inspiration for couples as they stepped out into all the trappings of a lovely garden wedding. Crisp white wicker furniture adorned an immaculate lawn, each table prettily decorated with flowers in pastel hues.
With ample space for guests to linger and enjoy the beautiful scene, the lush garden also afforded plenty of photo opportunities—an ideal place to host a solemnisation ceremony. Vendors who were at the fair to showcase their products and services include photographers such as AndroidsinBoots, wedding planners such as Butterflies & Cakes Productions, wedding stationers, jewellers and many others.
Able to host up to 150 guests, Masons segues elegantly from afternoon tea party and solemnisation to dinner with all that jazz. In their thoughtful wedding package, the venue offers a lavish menu selection from which couples can opt to serve their guests elegantly plated courses or offer sumptuous choices in buffet style. At the fair, guests were served canapés such as Pan Seared Foie Gras with Onion Jam on Crostini, Breaded Shrimp with Aioli, Goat’s Cheese with Tomato Relish, and Sauteed Mushrooms in Truffle Cream.
At Masons, dinner can be followed by dancing under the stars as ladies twirl their flapper dresses in the arms of their gallant men, on the beautifully manicured lawn aglow with romantic fairy lights.
With the impeccable service from the Masons events team, couples looking for a unique, glamourous celebration will be able to throw a party rivalling the likes of Jay Gatsby’s.
