Dear all,
My partner and I had a site visit at Zoo recently. We like the Forest Lodge as it is the only indoor and aircon area and there is a bridal room next to it.
If you walk from the Tram station, there is a tentage outside the lodge and behind it, is a koi pond. Veri beautiful...
But when we enter the aircon room, there are a few visitors sitting and resting inside. However we were told that they will arrange some staffs to guard outside the lodge to stop outsiders from going in and will put a "Private Function" sign on the actual day.
Went to visit the 2 outdoor venues also, the "Garden with a View" has a beautiful scenery, however the place is quite small after "Ah Meng" was buried there, besides her is a small durian tree (Ah Meng's fav food). Her statue is along the pavement while her body was a small distance away from it. If people dont know, they may just step onto the poor "Ah Meng", which I find we dont respect her.
The other outdoor location "Pavilion By The Lake", a peaceful place but quite warm during the afternoon, night time may be cooling and you can only see fans around the pavilion. I find that the place is quite isolated also, dont really like the place.
As for the menu, I think you all have to find out more from the catering staffs already. I only know they may change the menu by end of this year.
You can call them and arrange to have a site visit also, just like what we did. It's free anyway...I find that it's better for you all to go there and see personally, rather than to view from pictures..(Can really see the different..because the pictures they show in the album, you dont see the koi pond and "Ah Meng")...
Hope these informations can help those who wants to hold their wedding or solemnization there.
All the best...Cheers...
