they are suppose to give you one day & night make up.

your day make up - for actual day morning
then your actual day night do you have any activity?
if no, then they still own you one night make up which you can use for your dinner even its one week after your AD.
(but why your dinner is so many days after your AD?)
 


wendy: why dont u ask YC what the reason for topping up? usually day & night make up is on the same day. As for night make up they usually just touch up for you & change a new hairstyle. If you do it on the seprate day the MUA need to make up the whole face again, maybe that ehy u need to pay extra

I may be wrong with the above, that why the best think thing is to ask them to give u a satify answer

for ppl with lunch, maybe our make up will not be remove.
but those have dinner ones, normally by evening their make up already remove when they rest in the afternoon (after tea ceremonies).. but i never heard that they need pay extra..

wendy..better double check with YC and make sure u are convince with their reasoning otherwise dun pay.
 
Hmm.. I do know for videographer/photographer, if the wedding is on 2 days, eg. morning event 1 day, dinner another day, there's surcharge.

Ya, can check with them why and how much will be good

Blur: U try their gown? They have plus size for us?

Hi all, if can find a suitable one,then MTM. they will charge extra for plus size or not? If OTR, then after alter to suit my size, the gown will look wierd?

U all take their AD phtographer? They offered me $800. Is out of my budget? where to find cheaper photographer?

about the top up issue, I guess they are just finding opportunity to earn more money. logically, in the contract is one day, one night. the greay area is the contract never state that the day and night make up can be done over different days. so now they chrage us for make up done over differnt days.

anyway, we are at their mercy. just let them earn whatever money they want as long as within our means and hopefully everything turns out to be fine.

you may think you dun need a lot of photos when you do album style, and that's what i think so. but during photo selection, they will keep pressure you to take magazine style. tell you what... the lady boss (yvonne) is good at pressure tactics. well.. she will psycho you and tell you that you will look ugly with album style since not much editing is done and your picture look plain.

when i compare other studios, their indoor photography has nicer background compare to YC ones. so if they never do touch up for you, the picture will look plain. which what Yvonne says its true.

MTM... is it necessary...honestly speaking, you may have a hard time looking for a EG because I face this problem also. in the end, i tell myself that no way I will MTM one so I did not choose an EG that i really fancy.

for plus size brides..i have no idea but when I glance through their wardrobe, all i can say its their EG are kind of outdated.

Their AD photographer is cheap, $800..a good price. but the problem is, their photographer are expert to take still picture but not real life picture. i will advise you to engage in outside photographer. I recommend Coffee & Tea dreamworks.

my last conclusion about YC.. their package is cheap. but that is the basic package and during every process, the lady boss will give you pressure to "top up" and in the end, you will end up paying at least $3.5k.

somemore, their gowns are really outdated, and make up artist is just average only. however, this is a budget studio. don't get con by their package offer to you during their sales talk because this is not the end price you are going to pay. I suggest you go to other bigger bridal shops where their basic package may be costly but for their professionl service (no pressure tactics to "top up), better quality gowns, nicer indoor background, better MUA - i will say its worth it.
 
Ah Mei: I did manage to find WG & EG OTR. As for will it look wierd, I will say no. Cause if they have an allowance for each WG/EG to alter.

Cynthia: Every BS will sure ask every couple to top up for the photos. Seriously, no 1 can 'force' us to top up if you dont like photos you see. Why on earth will anyone top up for that. Even if you do not top up, YC will touch up all the photos for you.
 
i wun say its force but pressure.

i top up because our AD photographer is done by them, i am afraid they take revenge by purposely do a lousy job for that.
 
green, what you mean by touch up ?

From what I seen with my friends, they wash off their makeup in the afternoon when they reach the hotel. Then the MUA comes to do a fresh makeup for the bride before the dinner. How can 1 makeup base tahan whole day.. bad for skin also..

you are looking for AD photographer arr. remember to ask them out. compare their works and see which one you prefer before signing up ya.

to be fair..other bridal sure got hippups also..
but wat make me can't stand yvonne creative is their contract has too many loop holes.

as jinger said must ask them out to see their works. some PG posted veri nice photos on their website but when u see more of their works it's actually not that good. I have some contacts of AD PG, can PM me.
 
as a layman, I dunno what is consider a good photographer skills..but to me, i think one good photogrpaher is someone who knows how to captrue the right picture from the right angle.

as in, those people who are not involve will know whats going on by looking at the picture.
 
Seen like Yvonne creative have alot of negative feedback about their services.. especially about their hidden charges.

i was wondering whether does the lady boss read the comments posted here .. if yes, she really should do alot to improve .

no point aiming to earn lot of profit without meeting customer satisfaction.
 
i think she read about it and so does Yan Ping.
well, i am vert contented with Yan Ping services...

but for Yvonne..sad to say..she install fear in you because she knows your concern and make you submit to her.

something like mother knows a kid wants to go holiday so she say if u dun study hard, I will cancel the trip...etc..so left the poor kid with no choice but to study hard.

for my case, she knows my hubby is a mr nice..so she keep harping on him to top up. but she wun talk to be..because she knows i am a tough nut to crack. now my hubby will liase with her because i am sick of yvonne.

by the way, she make spelling mistakes in my wedding album i already keep quiet and didnt ask them redo..they better be appreciative that i am consider a reasonable client.

earning money is important to every business..but they also must take client's needs as considerations..this is what i mean by customers service. sorry to say..everything about Yvonne service is just about them..not customer.

this is my view.
 
ic... guess we'll all have to be wary of her then... just accompanied my friend for her fitting session last wkend... it was a fun and enjoyable experience... so excited and can't wait for my turn next month...

that's my personal experience...but maybe in actual fact she may be nice to other?

My coordinator is the boss yvonne. I want to change coordinator becos I'm scared she's too busy and mixed up my things with other brides' ones. But she keeps insisting that she'll be my coordinator.

I'm going for my first appt in Jan.
 
My coordinator also Denise. Think she is new??? Din hear about her last time but so far, no one complains abt her too so i guess she is good.
 
good and bad things about having Yvonne as co-ordinator.
good - she is the boss, she can make decision instantly. as in you can request for changes to your package to suit your needs

bad - mostly likely you can out talk her because she will only do things to her advantage and not to your advantage.

she dun have good taste.. not as good as yan ping. she is not very frank in her comments..can see how fake she is when giving comments because she will only say things you want to hear.

my coordinator is also denise. i think she is quite new cos she's the youngest looking around the shop hee hee.
went for my 1st appt already. so far i find denise pretty good. she'll call you a few times to confirm and remind you of the appt. and she is very patient too. but think she not as familiar with the gowns so might not be showing u the best gowns for u all the time. but the other coordinators around will help to pick out suitable gowns so no worries.

Anyone can reconmend me a good Coordinator, MUA and Photographer in YC?

I know coordinator part i can choose Yan Ping. how abt MUA and Photographer.. can anyone here give me some pointers on these 2.. thanks so much
 
like i say... for the price, YC is good
for the service - no need to say anymore

if you ask me will i recommend YC, i will say you decide.

Can you share details of your PG package ? Coz i am interested to engage Simon Lee as my AD photographer. wondering how much does he charge?
 
green, its not selection. Going to try my MTM gown for the 1st time. Yvonne called and changed my timing saying that my gown just arrived yesterday only. Hope she don't rush thru my gown. *crossing fingers*
