Why do we have to pay for the membership?

$30... quite a lot for discounts.
I think to pay $30.00 to get hundreds of dollars worth of discount is very worth while.
After all $30.00 is not a big amount compared to the amount that you're going to pay for your wedding. And if paying a small amount of $30.00 can benifit me in bigger ways why not.
Like the chinese saying small fortune don't go out. big fortune don't come in. Do your math!

Can't agree more! It's a free market, lingeries dear, u are free to walk away if u find things too pricy, but to yell and demand for free stuff?? Hey, that's a little ungracious of ya...
But if u really can't accept the idea of paying $30, tell ya wat, try other wedding portals, i know at least one other which offers free membership. But of course, quality differs...

The objective of the membership card is to help wedding couples get better value for their packages. The membership fee is collected to help defray the cost involved in administering the card. Many perks and privileges offered to the card holders far exceed the cost of membership fee. We hope that our card will help and benefit couples during the wedding preparation. I think that 'devils advocate' was also just making a comment. Everyone is welcome to post their opinion here. However, as postings in the web are read and we do not see the person whom we are communicating with face-to-face, it is difficult to attach the actual tone and emotion to the message. Thus, it is easy to misunderstand a message.
For example, though a message may be short and sweet, but others may feel that it is short and curt instead. I guess it is just a simple misunderstanding.

As per the application form, it takes up to 10 working days for us to process the card. We have one batch of application forms which we have received last week. The membership cards have been mailed out this morning and your card is among them. The card should reach your mailbox tomorrow.

either they are the forums' moderators OR they hv too much $ so dun mind paying for membership lah. it all boils down to their character/upbringing. i dun mind having more customers like these if i have a business to run
