When did you receive your final video after the wedding?

Hi Brides
When will the final video be really after the wedding? Is 4 to 6 months a common time frame for the videographer to complete and deliver the video? My videographer just told us that he will need that kind of time frame to complete and it was never communicated to us in the 1st place.

Whoa!! 4-6 months seems really long.. Is there any reason why he needs such a long period of time? Any special effects or stuff? Ours included raw versions plus edited versions and even postage and it came in the mail about 1-1.5 months after our AD and that included all the photos and videos taken from our morning church solemnization ceremony and evening banquet dinner at the hotel.. Best to check with your VG again in my opinion..

Thanks for your reply. No special effect or anything like that. It is just a normal video. He told us that this is industry standard which i do not believe. Seriously after 6 months, who will remember? This is why i am double checking with brides here before i confront him again. Very disappointed.
Any other brides can share?

Yeah, it's really too long if there's no other special effects or segments etc. Best to check with him - have you placed a deposit with him yet? If not, I suggest you don't unless you're sure on the details and satisfied with the conditions..
