My wedding is finally over. Overall the guests were very happy with the portion of the food, the ambience and the service. However i am quite disappointed that the hotel setup the ballroom very late. By 7.30pm, the ballroom was still not ready and my guests were kept waiting outside the cocktail. My wedding favours were also not setup in time. We instructed them to setup the platform for the harpist but that was not done. Most of the guests didnt know I had a harpist performing and thought the music was from CD. i am quite angry cos I have always want to do my march in with the harpist perfoming at the stage. Apart from that the wedding was great and my guests enjoyed our animated photo montage.

Wah, the hotel should have gotten everything ready before the guests turned up. Do you mind giving me the contact for your harpist?

Ya lor...if everything was setup in time, my hubby could have gone in to check the setup of the side stage. I was shocked when I couldn't see the harpist as I marched in....very angry when my friends were asking where was my harpist! She was very good and too bad that most people couldn't see her performance cos she was blocked by the stage. What's your email address? Do you also want the contact for the photo montage? They did a great job. It was quite entertaining for both the adults and kids.

The march in song, jonathan Caine bridal march is quite short, considering that too, but is it enough for the march in coz the timing quite short?

thanks sharlene...my hb got the full version one.....which is abt 5 mins plus....bit he edited it cos he wanna incorporate the pyro effects n all the flower gals march in....so its pretty long ......

such a lovely wedding!!! eh and the part about isaac turning around to whistle at the flower girls is such a hoot!!! i was laughing when i was going thru the photos! it must have been such fun!!

I need some help with budgeting...
Let's say for the extra perk, i take the 18 bottles of wine. And from the provided perks, i only have 30l of beer.
For 35 tables, how much do i need to budget for:
1) Extra invites
2) Printing of invites
3) Extra beer (How much?)
4) Extra wine (How much?)
5) Rental of a room for solemnization (abt 50pax)
6) Anything else?

Can anybody share with me the average angbao that you'd get per guest?

Is it safe to estimate that for a weekday banquet, angbao from family and frens on the whole, would range from abt $60 to $100, so average per angbao is $80?

For printing of invites, at least $250 or more, depends of which printing co and what materials u use. If using the printer recommended by Fullerton, American Wedding Treasures, then more ex though.

Extra 30L of beer at $680+++, wine cockage pricing had increased now, the rate I was offered was old rate, now more ex. Extra bottle of wine for old rate abt $36, not sure now.

Rental of room think it comes free if u cater their tea reception menu which was abt $50-60+++ per pax. Did recall asked that abt rental last time was abt few thousand.

My wedding was on a weekday and I had 34 tables. Total wine consumption was 43 bottles of red wines and 60L of beer. We were surprised that so many people drank on a weekday.

I requested for a function room for my solemnisation at no charge. I had my solemnisation an hour earlier b4 the banquet. The room can cater about 30 guests. Have to pay if you want to cater for food and drinks.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures with me! I like your set-up in the ballroom! Did you make additional arrangements for the aisle? Also, how many tables did you hold? I've also noticed that your hubby drove on the actual day. My hubby is planning to do that too but we're facing some displeasure from his dad on this. We need to convince him further... Thanks for sharing!

Are there any dishes that had good or bad feedback? Delia contacted me for my food tasting last evening so it's still time for some changes in the menu if necessary. Winterhakone, you mentioned toufu and mango pudding is good, ya?
