Hi, anyone signed up with this bridal for Taiwan photoshoot? I signed up last week during the fair at Suntec and thought we could share our experiences abt this bridal.

hi!

Ive signed up with The Love Weddings today at Vivo City roadshow.
I thought it was Julia weddings as the booth writes Julia wedding and the posters shows all the celebrities that endorsed for Julia Wedding. We were attracted by the freebies and discount they gave us.They emphasized that Julia never give discounts but they are willing to cut us a good deal for this roadshow. When we finally signed up, i realized that the receipt and namecard states The Love Wedding.
The coordinator Vanessa and her manager confirmed that it is the same company, just that in Singapore it is called Julia Weddings but in Taiwan it is called The Love Weddings. We paid in full in the roadshow in order to get all the freebies.
But when i went home and searched on Julia wedding news website, i found out that they do have a branch in Taipei and it is called Julia Wedding news too! not My Love Weddings.I felt so cheated as they keep telling us it's Julia Weddings.
I dont even see any link or anything that states they are sister companies in their website.
Did you have the same experience? and how's the feedback you gotten from The Love Weddings" ? Is it in the same category as Julia Weddings in terms of photography skills and gowns?
Am v worried nw... Hope you can share your experience

Hi JL! They also told me that they were affiliated to Julia during the roadshow. They gave quite gd freebies n stuff as well during my time.

I did quite an extensive search abt them after signing up. Didn't know abt this company before signing though. Signed up as my coordinator sounded sincere and genuine. Anyway the company is opened by Julia's boss in Taiwan called è€éº¦ but they are not Julia for sure. I also went to look u the reviews at verywed a taiwan bridal forum. So far reviews not bad la. They have been also prompt in replying my emails so far. So I think just give them a chance and try. I m planning my shoot in late march/ early apr next year. What abt u? Let's share our experiences!

Is yours included?

Hihihi, we just came back from Taiwan! (i miss the freezing weather already!) Don't see many ppl talking about The Love Weddings so i guess i'll just share our experience. probably gonna be a long post! Sry for being longwinded.....

So we took up the package some time back at Suntec. Similar to afew forum users' experience that i've randomly read, we signed the package thinking The Love Weddings = Julia Wedd News. Truthfully, it bothered me for awhile but taking it positively, i thought it could be a good choice going for a "not-so-common SGrean choice".. But they do seem pretty prestigious in tw to me (don't count on my words for this though cos i did not google much, just a feeling i got during my photoshoot experience with them..)

Justifying my gut-feel of them being prestigious was a very simple 1st impression: When we walked down the Tw wedding street (totally similar to our Tanjong Pagar row of bridal boutiques), The Love Weddings had the prettiest store front! and most importantly, no salesperson lingering outside the studio asking every possible couple that walks pass to take a look at their photos. These simple aspects were good enough for me to place them above the others along that same street base on 1st impression.

So the first meeting took afew hours cos we chatted quite abit ;x As most taiwanese are, everyone was pretty friendly.. and yes! the bubbletea they ordered for us was so good lol. To be honest, i was expecting more gown choices ;( The racks of gowns didn't score my top rating.. partly cos im reasonably tall, and the heels i brought was also tall! so some gowns wasn't long enough for me >.>

Thankful to everyone at the fitting giving advice and all, they picked out some nice looking gowns that they thought suited me and we got the gowns settled after hours! ;)

Photoshoot day turned out to be a really cold, windy and rainy day! We still went ahead tho.. blueskies and flowery scene wasn't our style anyways haha. The photographer, driver, assistant and mu artist had to brave the poor weather with us ;x Yet they still tried to remain optimistic and spontaneous.. im really thankful for that la.. made the whole "painful" process more like an excursion? lol.

Choosing photos day took us a total of.... like.. almost 8hours? seriously, it was easy picking out the pretty ones.. it was difficult choosing the not so pretty ones which are must-haves after all that hardship! That's our case la.. lol. And yes we ended up adding quite a no. of photos mainly for memory sake. I hope after editing.. the not so perfect ones will impress enough so i wouldn't feel like we splurged unnecessarily ba.. *fingers crossed*

Oh and note that they did mention we must hv a certain minimum no. of photos then they'll do designs. Otherwise it'll probably be 1 photo per page.. So...... save up! but its still afterall up to us la.. They ain't hardselling, but definitely persuasive cos the advice they give seems so right no matter how hard our brain tries not to agree ~.~ i think this happens everywhere.. ;/

We'll just wait and see the edited photos! Wish you girls good weather during photoshoot day! Oh and my makeup was done by this pretty girl name Jiaqi i think.. it was good. Hairstyle well.. im not very adaptive to hairstyle changes, especially my fringe being swept aside and stuff so.. even tho bf says it looks good, i feel WEIRD. This is partly the reason why i "categorise" some of the chosen photos as not so nice ;/ But i gotta admit she made me look really different in all the styles.. good or bad, i can't quite decide >.>

And and, just to add.. tho The Love Weddings ain't JWN, its still true there are tw artists who goes to them for photoshoot, and the photo studio seems to take alot of studio shots for artists.. Oh and, the studio photos turned out so good even before any edits! ;D All thanks to the nice makeup, really good studio lightings and the pro photographer and assistant .. heh heh.

That's all ! Cheerios all ;)

Hi ebelle, thank you for sharing!

Who did u have as your photographer?

I am quite looking forward to my photoshoot with them in march n hope I can resist the temptation to add more photos!

My photographer was Su sir.. super quiet guy..

March.. that's soon! Enjoy your trip ;D

As for the temptation part.. haha its hard to resist ;x

I'm now having a hard time trying to describe in words what i want them to edit ;/ major headache...

May I know how long did u wait to start editing your photos? So far how is their after sales service? I just got back from my photoshoot with them.

For my photo editing, I use quite long to get it done. It was because the way they designed the was too simple and we are unsatisfied with it. We communicated many times in order to describe to them what we want. For my album , I have to get the photos and use photoshop to design it and send back to them, request them to do exactly what we want.
After everything has done (it took about one and half year for my album to be done, I am still ok with it because I still haven't gone through my Chinese custom yet), i got a call and asked me to pay for the postage delivery. It will cost me about $200+ depend on the weight. I am quite unhappy because when I asked whether is there anyone from there or JWN can help me to bring back the albums, they said no. They told me although they are sister company but they didnt provide the service, and more important, they work differently. It makes me feel irritating because my friends who signed up from other bridal shop and went to Taiwan to have the photoshooting, they don't need to pay for the extra delivery for the photo albums. So I would like to advise for those who have taken up their package, make sure you understand what your package offer and the hidden cost behind. When we signed up the package from JWN and the love weddings two years ago, we didnt know that actually they are from two different bridal shops.

Hi, i have sign up with The Love Wedding Taiwan at Suntec roadshow and not sure if their photography skills are good.. and how are their selection of gowns.. Not sure if i should transfer to Julia Weddings.. Can anyone share their experience with me and also show me some of their wedding shoots?
