Staying or working in JB ?

Hi, can i check with anyone, who has any experience working or living in JB, how is it like there? I head that the crime level is high and alot of negative news from the paper and people i know.

As i might need to travel to JB quite often, but living in Singapore, so the travelling is unavoidable. Thus would also like to know the travelling and traffic condition of going to JB daily, i am doing the opposite of many people. I travel to JB for work reason but live in singapore, but other people work in Singapore but live in JB.

Anyone who has the experience in JB pls kindly share.

Crime level is high. Even the locals are scared of going out esp late at night.

Travelling to and fro work during peak hours is a nightmare also. Be prepared to get stuck in jams esp if you are driving.

the main concern is still Safety.
definitely not my ideal place for women travelling alone...
