Recently, my brother and SIL went to Lee Hwa to bring her engagement ring for cleaning (FOC).
The sales lady helpfully showed her the large inventory of the diamond rings and compared how dull her diamond engagement ring looks against their rings.
To cut the long story short, my brother and SIL ended up "upgrading" and brought another engagement ring to replace the old one.
Buyers remorse right now.....
They did not realise that the existing diamond engagement ring looks dull because it is covered with grime and oil.
Here is a simple hack; use a toothbrush (with soft bristles), and a little detergent (NOT handwash) and give it a good scrub at the bottom of the diamond, sides of the diamond (especially around the pongs) and it will look as new , brilliant and sparkly as ever!
Btw the free cleaning (sonic water cleaning or something) offered by Lee Hwa did not successfully remove the grime and oil.
Something to take note of; the FOC cleaning services is a great way to get their existing buyers to upgrade.
