Like to seek some advise or suggestion from peeps whom have similar situation or gg through similar situation as me

I am a Christian while my HTB comes from a Taoist family. After discussing, we agreed to have a solemnization by a Pastor in a non Christian venue to respect both our family and belief.

First to have a non Christian venue is easy, but to have a venue that resemble or give me the feeling in the church is not as simple. Some venue that I have zoom down like Chijmes, White Rabbit etc

Next come to getting a Chrsitian Pastor / JP to solemnize our wedding. I have ask if my church pastor was willing but unfortunately they do not. Hence, can anyone share with me if they know of any Pastor who is willing to do it.

Appreciate alot.

Hi redkan28,

I was in the same exact position as yourself. My husband is a non-believer, but agreed to have a Pastor to solemnize the marriage but not in a church.
Unfortunately, I doubt any pastor would agree to do it. I've checked with my own church, they said no too.
I was very disappointed at first as my dream was to have a church wedding (out of the question) or be solemnized by a Pastor at least (rejected as well). But after thinking and speaking to one of my church's Pastor, I began to understand that it will be of no meaning of the Pastor to bless the marriage when one party is not even a believer, if you know what I mean.

You can search for a JP who is a Christian to solemnize the marriage if that will make you feel better. My JP is a Christian/Catholic I think. I did not search for one on purpose. I did my ROM at Flutes at the Fort.

I guess since we've made the decision to commit the rest of our lives with a Non-Christian, we have to be prepared for this and learn to accept it. After thinking through, I guess it's fair.

Most importantly, is not to let this affect your relationship with your HTB. Have an enjoyable marriage!
