You can engage sing see soon or fleur dsign to do up the deco. They specialise in ballroom deco.Does anyone else think that the marriott ballroom is quite large? I'll have about 20 tables and am thinking of deco ideas to "fill up the space "cos of the high ceiling and large room. Any ideas or feedback from other marriott brides?

Oh why didn't you? Honestly I'm having slight second thoughts as we suddenly faced some unhappiness while communicating with them. Not very impressed by the service from the coordinator.

actually, everyone have different perspective on nice or not so nice ler. so I also wish you can enjoy the process and feel for yourself on their attitude ? maybe you may feel they are nice and such ? Give yourself an option ok

Hi, is anybody having difficulty with getting the ballroom for a wedding rehearsal prior to the wedding day? I have signed up for wedding lunch banquet at Marriott and my coordinator seems to be very unwilling so far to confirm a date for the wedding rehearsal. She initially even told me that she can only confirm one week prior to the actual wedding. I'm quite appalled at this last minute confirmation as it would be difficult for my wedding helpers if I give them such short notice. Did anyone have a similar experience?

Just an update - have thankfully managed to get a confirmed date for the rehearsal a month in advance after more discussion with Marriott

Anyone has Denise as their wedding coordinator? She doesn't seem to be responding to emails and I've yet to make my decision on venue yet. Having second thoughts now cos I'm sure if I decide on Marriott the service will only go downhill from here... thoughts?

I'm a btb with my wedding on 15 oct. Denise is my planner and she has been very responsive to my queries even on weekends. So far my experience is good and hopefully my wedding goes perfect next week.
My husband and I held our wedding at Marriott in September. Our wedding planner was Ester Tan and we have nothing but praises for Ester. From the start, she was very prompt with replying our emails and was responsive even when she was on leave.
She is very helpful to us during the six months we were planning for our wedding. It was very reassuring to have her as our wedding planner as she is very experienced and will prompt us on the things we need to get done.
Despite our numerous last minute requests, Ester was always very patient with us and would help us to get things done. We couldn't thank her enough for helping us with the planning of our wedding banquet.
We also have to thank Ricky, the banquet manager. He was constantly on the lookout to make sure things were running smoothly. He would constantly bring us water to make sure we were hydrated and even got a female staff to help me with my dress as I went round mingling with my guests.

Through out the entire process, Ester has always taken the initiative to always update us and remind us of things that needs to be done or taken into consideration, and everything small details here and there are always taken care of by her. Long story short, my wife and I are busy professionals who are too busy to spend too much time on the details and all, and we felt very comfortable and relieved knowing Esther is the one taking care of them, because they all get done.
Also, closer to the banquet, even the night before at 11pm(!!!), we had many minor changes due to unforeseen circumstances, but Esther is always responsive and helpful enough to settle them and resolve all these issues.
We are also thankful to Edna who took charge of the operations (along with Esther the planner), because almost all of our guests told us that amongst all the weddings they have attended so far, ours was one of the best, especially in terms of coordination and timing, not mentioning the delicious food.

First of all, Ester Tan, our wedding planner from Marriott Hotel, really helped us out in the months before hand. Patiently accommodating to our requests, even right up to the few days before! Well, you know how parents can get… I would say, of all the planners we spoke to, Ester was the only one who genuinely looked to make sure we had the absolute best experience possible. She ensured that everything was in order and a memorable experience right from the start when we held our ROM there and were so happy that we decided to hold our banquet there as well. Amidst our busy schedule, she catered to our requests and even sent us reminders when we missed out certain details. We felt that we did not know what to look out for and she guided us through everything. Definitely someone who would be able to plan and walk you through your special day
The dinner reception itself was well coordinated. We have July and her crew to thank for that. It was amazing how July helped calm our nerves before each march-in with a smile. Giving us warm honeyed water was also an amazing touch.
We also have Juni Goh and Sheena Hong to thank for singing live. Having them sing at our wedding really made my wife smile from ear to ear.
