Ladies!!!

I just came back from my 1st fitting...I am delirious with delight!!! Jit said I slimmed down and the gown a bit off...SO HAPPY...wahahhaha...

I have a multiply account but I don't really know how to use it yet...how about you gals email me and I will send you my blog link? Loads of wedding details from me...

I told Jit that ALL his Silverlining brides are the most supportive and royal bunch I've ever seen! So happy for him to see the support he gets!!!

Huiz, tempt you to hold your wedding a 2nd time rite? hahaha...I got a shock actually...didn't realise Jit gave me such a long long train...pleasant surprise!
 
Hey Jue, ya man, seeing your pics really make me miss my own wedding even more. Haizzz, time really flies....

The one thing that I like about Jit's gowns, be it WG or EG is that the trains are very very nice. Elaborate yet elegant and natural looking

Hi all silverlining brides to be,

Im new to the forum and Im getting married on 22 March 08! I have met JIT in July and I am going for my first fitting soon. Yeah I really feel comfortable with JIT and he has been fantastic so far. Think this is JIT's peak period so hopefully I can see my gowns soon.. kinda excited and looking forward to it!

Thanks Coco! I thought I will be worrying about getting post-weddings blue...but now I am super worried about my photoshoot next tuesday!!!

Hi Jue, u mean how we decide where to go for PS? I had known what kinda settings I like (or rather am a sucker for all the while) e.g. places with lotsa flowers (but not Botanics) and quaint English places so I keep my eyes open for such areas. In the end went to the Orchid Garden, Tudor Court (and the florist at the corner of the row of Tudor style shop houses), Seletar Airbase and finally this very grand European style condo, The Gardens @ Bishan.

Do enjoy every second of the PS yah? Though tiring, we really enjoyed it very2 much!

Haha Jue, we really did enjoy it. Even my hubby who isn't really enthu abt being photographed thought it was fun too. So which 2 locations have u shortlisted?

I think I am undergoing pre-wedding blues at the moment. Stressed...restless...not so stressed...kinda calm...arggh...a lot of funny dreams.

Hi gals,

Need ur advise. I met up with Jit to design my EG, WG and will be meeting him again to design my CS.

I wld love red to be the color of my EG. So any other color suggestions for my CS? I'm pretty tanned by the way.

I had mine in violet and silver (violet cloth over silver lace). I think it's a classy combi. I am not too fair either, but I think this colour looked good on me

I just went for my 2nd fitting today...and trial make up. Even Sharon (my MUA) can't help adoring my gowns and told Jit to do something similar for her next time. HAHAHA...that lighten me up a little.

I feel so much better now.

I didnt check the post for a week! I just added you to my msn... and oh a day after i post the message here and wonder when my first fitting will come, i got a sms from JIT the next day saying that I can go for my first fitting on the 6 Oct! haha.. talk about coincidence.

We can talk more online.. oh and I saw your gowns! They are so great..and the white one is stunning! hee..

I think its true that JIT can give very good suggestions.I had 2 colours in mind, and he gave me the pros and cons of both, depending on the image i wanted to portray.Im having mine in deep turquoise.. sometimes may have to coordinate your gown with your banquet colour themes. Like if many red roses are used, probably a red gown which blends in wont be so appropriate.

just wondering, what color suits does your htb choose? black ? or?

i was thinking, for black suits, can just get my htb to get from zara. and then he can choose a light colored suit ie light grey and get jit to tailor.

or should i just get him to tailor a black suit?

But if i get him to tailor black suit, he will only have 1 suit for the entire day on the AD. hmm..
any advise? thanks! ;)
 
Hi Midori,

My hubby chose a charcoal black suit. On the AD, we played around with the carveat that Jit lent us. During the day and first march-in, he wore the white one. When I was in EG, he was in the grey one and the violet one went with my CS. I think Jit is so smart to come up with this suggestion.

You may like to prepare 2 shirts for him if you decide to go for one suit only. He may feel more comfy in a clean shirt for the night

My 2 cents:
Just get Jit to MTM ur htb's suite cos Jit will only deduct $200 from the package if you opt out...Zara suit probably will cost you more than that.

Like Huiz, my HTB tailored a black suit with Jit. Then we MTM 2 shirts - one white(match my WG) and one red(match my EG) with Oxford. Nice...but today's wedding shoot proved to us that my HTB need 2 more shirts...hahaha...we going to Oxford again soon!

He sweats too much...

now my HTB is choosing btw these 3 Options:

1st Option: Get Jit to do a silverish grey suit and buy a black suit on his own

2nd Option: Get Jit to do a black suit and buy a silverish grey suit ( but i tink it's kinda hard to find light silverish suit in stores? )

3rd Option: Just get Jit to tailor a black suit.

Any views? Will love to hear from u gals

Hi Midori,

I got Jit to make a greyish (abit shiny?) suit for my hubby. My thinking was that if he needs another suit, a black suit can easily be bought off the rack. But I think what Huiz and Jue suggested the changing of the shirts and caveats... gd idea for black suit too!

Jit drew 2 EG designs and i had such a hard time deciding cuz i love both! in the end, i chose the one that jamie yeo wore.. the low back one..

just wondering, do u noe how much jit will charge extra if we make another EG? * tempting *

Also, i had a hard time deciding on the color of my CS. in the end, i chose ivory/gold cuz of its wearability after the wedding.. i wanted a bright color initially ( fushia/ turqoise).. haiz..
i tink i'm too indecisive.

I seriously doubt you have time to change into 2 EG so don't count on it. Haha...unless you are holding 2 wedding banquets like Huiz did.

I thinking of dragging my HTB to get another chinese top(to match my Kua) for our tea ceremony back at my parents. Give him a reason to shake off the jacket and shirt for a while.
