SG groom JB bride

Hi guys and ladies,

I am new here. Currently planning for wedding but there a lot of things that I do not know how to manage.

My fiance is a Malaysia and their family lives in jb. (no house in sg, everyday in out Causeway)

Problem 1: how to conduct the gate crash? (crash in jb and then travel to sg? But scare traffic jam and missed some timing)

Problem 2: highly like both side(sg and jb) need to host banquet, which venue to conduct first? (I would like conduct gate crash, solemnization and banquet on a same day but seems very difficult) possible to do solemnization in jb?

Anyone can tell me how does such matching (sg groom JB bride) had conducted their wedding?

Gate crash done in SG, since chances are both side's friends or colleagues are based here. Parents of fiancee can stay in hotel or if there are relatives here and they are agreeable, the parents can stay there too.

Problem 2: highly like both side(sg and jb) need to host banquet, which venue to conduct first? (I would like conduct gate crash, solemnization and banquet on a same day but seems very difficult) possible to do solemnization in jb?

Groom side first. Possible to do solemnization in JB, but you wld need to take care of the logistics for the solemnizer and prepare a nice ang pao as a token. But since u r planning to get a house here and not travel back and forth from JB after marriage, then its best to do the solemnization here. You can register your marriage with the Malaysian High Comm after

Depending on which side has a smaller scale, then again, really depend on the couple. A good rule of thumb is Groom side wedding reception comes first.

Then no choice, you will surely be caught in the jam especially with the morning crowd, as for auspicious timing, if can do without, just let is slide. Otherwise, you will really need to have a talk with your fiancee and see how things can be work out. Regardless of all traditions and superstitions, a marriage can only work when you communicate like adults (resolve the issue amicably and not emotionally).
