I learnt it from Xen Bar @ Pagoda Street..and my intermediate classes from Jitterbugs

learnt for more than 1 year...and now just doing social dancing

basically...not tat difficult.

Many community clubs offer salsa classes..from basic to intermediate.

Besides the 2 schools tat were mentioned above, you can check out these too. Some offer trial class too. So you can try out the dance before you sign up for any

Hey hui,

I'm currently learning salsa at Attitude (in Tanjong Pagar). Been learning for 2.5 months now, and enjoying every moment of it! I just finished my Beginners course, moving on to Intermediate next week. Also going to take up bachata too! You got go to Union Square for dancing?

Union Sq is where u can find all the good dancers from the various performance teams. Try to go on the beginners night so that it is not too intimidating to you....and it is not as crowded as certain nights.

Or go on Monday nights when there are a lot less people! I usually go Monday since my class ends around 10pm then, then just walk over after that.

ya i frequent Union bar... but i am not good dancer..... actually i realise nowadays many experts turned up on the Beginner's night too!!!!

Haha hui, ya! The first time I went to Beginner's Night, I was like " "You mean THIS is BEGINNERS standard?!?! Why is everyone so good?!?!?!" I nearly died of fright lor... btw if you frequent Union bar, maybe I might have met you once or twice! hahaha

i need to check for Salsa beginner 1..what is taught ?? also I have a friend interested to learn salsa..but she is heavy and is afraid that she might not be able to turn easily..
is there such a thing that only slim people will find it easy to learn salsa ..

never do salsa...So really don't know about this...But I have seen people doing salsa and This is really amazing....
