Japan is a big country. Frankly, its pointless to spread hearsays. Best for the individual to do research to the specific location to confirm the risks. After the Japan earth quakes, some of my Europe colleagues even cancelled their biz trip to singapore fearing to fly anywhere near the entire of asia.
