ROM @ Yum Cha


i just romed too. the "ah pek" really spoil the mood. the food ok only, not as good as i thot. sounds system also not so good. i ordered the business menu 238 but top up for peking duck. go for free flow soft drink total 1050plus. how come so ex i also duno. oh ya, they charge per person for the tea cos they poured for all my guests but in the first place they didnt ask my guest whether they want anot. haiz...

The "ah pek" there all the time one is it? I will book the hi-tea cos i had it on weekday and they have hi-tea from 2pm to 6pm i think.

is it true sunday they dont allow us to use the big VIP room? im intending to use the suitable VIP room for just 1 table + table set up for solemisation? the staff said cannot, cos sunday the restaurant is crowded and they need to open all private rooms. so can only rom in the small room, then come out to main hall to eat.
 
Hi all, just romed. i got the $338 menu. every relatives and friends were saying the food was nicce. no "Ah pek" there. service was good as well.

Ryan, there's no music in the room.
 
Had my ROM ... i was surprised they charge me 10% service charge for the $100 booking of the room... that one also got service meh????
 
I had my ROM at Yum Cha last year dec. Actually the $50 for the solemnisation room abit high. 10-15mins the event is over, and that's it.

Overall, food was ok. We had our simple late lunch in the main hall. Abit noisy but ok.

Yes all prices is before 10% service charge.
 
me tinking of getting the $338 menu as well... but not into crabs, can we req to change to other dishes? :P do they charged gst also?

n as for the deco... we can req for a diff colour theme, cos the 2 pic posted above looks diff ... they do provide the precious moment figurings n the pens right? thx!

Hi.. am deciding to ROM@ Yum Cha in dec 08, but not sure if it is the right choice ..

anyone has any photos to share? Esp on the decoration and the private room..

I'm thinking of taking the 138++ dim sum menu for lunch..has anyone tried that? coz sat no buffet.

But I was abit worried that we cannot really mingle...so we will juz eat and eat.....
I have abt 50 guests......Any advice?

Hi Stella and piupiugoh,
I attended a friend ROM at YUM char. They do not have any decor for the private room. They only do up the solemnization table and chairs. Therefore what my friend did she get someone to do up the decor for her.
