Hi wonder how many of you did the rom at the ministry? How is it ? Are you able to decide the time ?

What kind of preparations do you need?

Hi, last week I booked for my ROM for June. Yes you are able to choose the timings.
But few days before ROM, you and your spouse need to go down again for some marriage counselling thingy. That date and time cannot be changed. They gave me a timing of 8.30-9.30am, 2 days before ROM date.

i did my ROM at ROM Office too.

You can choose the timeslot but of course it's first come first serve basis so best to start booking the slot once the window open.

preparations wise, nothing much needed cause you can't choose solemnizer. just be there with ur spouse-to-be and family members :)

Silly question here.... do they provide pen for signing or we have to bring our own?
What kind of pen to use?
Can we collect the cert immediately afterwards?

Thanks for the replies! what do you guys personally think about ROM there. And what exactly is the counseling about? If rom outside still need to go for the counseling?

Asking because I have not yet decided whether to separate ROM with the customary wedding vs holding it all together..

I been to several ROM at the ROM itself.

I personally feel there will be more meaning in hosting at a location u and yr hubby loves rather in a typical building that others ROM at.

However, there will be more expenses involved like renting if venue for solemisation and engaging the JP.

Thanks for the reply! How long does each session last. does it feel very impersonal?
I thought of holding at the ROM itself as it is hasslefree (I hope?)
cost wise isn't a huge issue per se.. but just too lazy to plan things

Each session last about 10 to 15 mins.

I will be holding my ROM outside as I feel it will be more memorable.

It will be less hassle as you do not need to engage someone to solemise for u.
