Review of Handsmaden (wedding card printer)

An advice to all (Bad & Lousy Service of Handsmaden)

After doing much research on the various designs, we chose Handsmaden for the wedding invities including the inserts. As promised on their website on the turnaround time, this is not the case for our order.

On 22 Sep 15, we confirmed the artwork and proceeded to make payment via Paypal. Package was supposed to be delivered within 1 week with tracking number provided.

We waited till 1 Oct 15, no tracking number provided. We sent several emails to them as their responses were real slow ( 2 days to reply ). They claimed that there was a printing error, so they would do the re-print and sent to us in another week.

So we waited till 8 Oct 15, no updates or tracking number. So we emailed them again, slow reply as well. This time round, they provided us a Fedex tracking number which indicated to be delivered by 6pm on 13 Oct 15. We waited the whole day, no parcel came. We called Fedex, and was to our shock, the parcel's shipping address was not our's. It was delivered to another person, which this person stays in my area. Manage to find out the address, we went down to the person's address as thinking that Handsmaden had mixed up the shipping address and packages.

When we reached the person place, he opened up to check. The package was his, but his inserts were not included in the package. We explained our situation to him and even showed his that Handsmaden sent us the tracking number, which was intended for him. He felt upset like us as well as his inserts are not inside.

We emailed Handsmaden again as they have no contact number to call. This person Eugene, replied, stating that he had mixed up, and assured us that our package will be delivered by 16 Oct 15 via EMS Speed Post. For his easy reference, i again indicated my address in my latest email to him.

On 16 Oct 15, i called Speed Post to verify the shipping address. This time round, the package was meant to be delivered to us, however, to our surprise again, the shipping address as indicated by Handsmaden only contains my block number and street name, no unit number. Even no one at home, where does the Speed Post man can slide the delivery note as there is no unit number.

Speed Post advise us that the update of address will take another 3 working days. And we have to wait, even the package finally arrive, we will need to check if there are missing items ( like the guy whose inserts are missing from his order) or any printing errors.

This show how much pride and responsiblity Handsmaden have in customers' orders.

1) Error in printing in the forst round
2) Slow response in replying to emails
3) Wrong tracking number provided which the intended receiptent's inserts are not inside
4) Though my package was shipped out, they provided an incomplete shipping address to EMS.

My wedding date is on the 10 Dec 15, which by the service standards of Handsmaden, it is very time consuming and frustrating for us.

We advise those intending to print with Handsmaden, please think twice with such service standards.

omg this sounds exactly like my experience. but the best part is, my wedding was in august, and they just sent the wedding invitations to us this week. isn't this sweet???!!?
i'm still waiting for my refund 4 months later...
do not use handsmaden.

also the phone number they have on their website is fake. and they plainly ignore my emails.
 
i definitely dont recommend handsmaden. slow service, errors in printing and lies. they just sent my wedding invitations this week, and fyi, my wedding was 2 months ago, and i had ordered them in june.
i've been begging for a refund for 4 months now, and they've been saying yes next week next week; 4 months later, i am guessing next week may mean never in korean. apologies for the sarcasm, but losing money over a dishonest business is very upsetting.
 
I don't think any of the company would admit to all these grave mistakes. Be it real or fake, they may deny the blames.
 
Well, to each of his own.. People can dun believe in reviews until they experience themselves.

Maybe others who dealt with them were smooth n fuss free, but not for mine.

Just my two cents worth for people in this forum who is considering to use them. Anyway, forums are used in exchanging and sharing of information.

Good luck for people who engages then for theor services. :)
 
who was that vivian person? I got notification that she was accusing us of being from the competitors.... seriously... she/he would need to be from handsmaden to even bother saying this. anyway, yes people had good experiences, some didn't. i'm not sure what the criteria is. clearly i also saw the good recommendations, and that's why i went for them in the first place. to be frank, the (ridiculously late, 2 months after the wedding) invitations i received are decent. but the service around it, the fact that they are disputing the refund now (not directly to me; they just sent the invitations to make a point now, that they delivered the service), this is enough to put me off, of ever dealing with them. i would not recommend it to any of my friends getting married and i just wanted to share my opinion here, as this is the purpose of this forum.
 
She (Vivian) previously posted a reply over this thread to advice pple to call to handsmaden to clarify on the blames posted over here. She said it might bethe competitors of handsmaden who posted the negative comments. Not too sure why her reply was removed.

We found that Vivian's IP address was from Korea and her postings suspicious so her postings were removed.
 
To all couple who wanna get your wedding card & friend please help to share this around to avoid another victim.

There is also a lot review from other couple who encounter similar problem, this seller is not reliable and Paypal choose to close our dispute blindly even we provide a valid proof and evidence !!

Use Paypal &"Handsmaden" at your own risk !!!

We ordered our wedding card from "Handsmaden" online, after confirmation and payment on 22 Feb, the seller promise we will receive our item on 2nd Mar.

On 3rd Mar they replied our email indicating that there is printing error on the card and they have to reprint it. After nearly a week from their last replied they gone missing till we email in threatening them that we going to make a report on 15th Mar if we did not receive our order tracking number.

We are anxious and worry that our wedding card will arrive late after our wedding date or worse it might never reach us.

They finally reply but not with tracking number, again they ask us to wait. After 2 Days we received the goods however to our nightmare the item is not the one we ordered and the date of shipment on the AWB clearly indicate it was mail out 2 days after we threaten to make a report.

FYI: We ordered whole set pink colour which mean the card/box/ribbon all should be in pink colour (original item photo on comment).
However we received a mix colour of the item, blue card & ribbon with pink box.

We try to open dispute using paypal, however paypal choose to side seller as it was a "custom made" item, we ordered pink color but we received a pink box with blue card which not match to what we ordered and pay for.

If the item is dented or slightly discolor we will accept it but it is clearly that is seller mistake who sent out last min with mismatch item after we threaten to make a report.

We thought by using paypal it will protect both side buyer and seller however paypal just close our case without lending a hand to investigate further even after we provide clear evidence.

We are very reasonable buyer, we just want to get the item we pay for, now we have to spend extra to find a shop to print our wedding card again.
