hey all! me and my SO have been searching for a proposal ring for quite sometime now. we have been to all the retail shops like Lee Hwa, Tianpo, Goldheart, Tiff&Co and Cartier. As diamonds are not something cheap, we have done extensive research on it online.

And i wish to make this thread an official thread on proposal rings to ease things for other brides-to-be. As i find the current layout of the forum a little too unorganised and messy. So please add on what other helpful info you have to help each other out.

i'll add on what i've found so far a little later on as i'm at work now!

I personally don't really like Tiffany (haha yeah weird??). Somehow, I am not very partial to their cut of the diamonds, though they have elegant settings. I find them rather overpriced; you can get good diamonds at a better price somewhere else. Unless of course you want to pay for the branding but I feel the extra money can go towards a nicer home.

I personally like the Gabrielle Diamond so far but this cut in my opinion suits bigger diamonds. Lazare and Tolkowsky are quite nice too.

Well, there's this website which i find it quite informative. Too bad that i came across this website AFTER i bought my proposal ring. Anyway, i dont regret a single bit coz my ring somehow 'called out' to me. hahah.

Decent meaning say, 0.3-0.5 carat? Other 'C's im not that bothered...
