Popples is correct. Previously when messages were posted, you did not key in your password when making the postings. Thus the system did not count the postings you made without the password. That is why your number of postings reflected is lower than the number of postings you've actually posted.

Just a brief summary of new features added in the upgrade.
1. The forum has a easier way for including images in your posting. Now you'll just need to click on the button "Upload Attachement".
2. The forum also performs username check when a message is posted. If the username is already registered, it'll no longer be allowed to be used by other public users. This will help reduce identity confusion.
3. There is a "Private Message" (PM) function included in this upgrade. However, we've disabled it by default to prevent unsolicited PM. You can turn the PM function on by editing your account/profile.
4. The new "Search" utility is more powerful. It has more search criteria available and thus will return more accurate search results.
5. There is also a new automatic password-retrieval function under the "Profile" link in the navigation above.
6. There is a posting counter. This will show the number of postings a registered member has made in the forum.
7. Currently, we can also show the date since the member had registered with the forum.
8. Noticed the printer icon on the top right of my message? By clicking on the icon now, you'll be able to print just this message alone.

You may like to log into your account/profile to enable the "Remember my username and password in a cookie" function. Once enabled, you'll not need to key in your username and password again after you've logged into your account.
We would also like to suggest that you enable the "Clear the cookie when I exit my browser" function as this would prevent unauthorised usage of your account especially if you are using a shared PC.

As many of the users are aware, advertising postings by non-advertisers are not allowed in the forum as we depend on advertising revenue from our clients to cover our operating costs and overhead.

oh, & i take back my comments abt wanting the postings to be arranged in real-time. now, i agree alphabetical arrangements are more useful when finding stuff. for latest postings, just click on the hours-button.

The counter will only count the postings which you have posted with your password keyed-in.
For your previous messages posted without the password, these messages will not be reflected in the counter as you have not identified yourself to the system that you were the poster at the time of posting.

Dear Chin Leng, I got a problem. When I click on <font color="ff0000">Last 12 hrs</font>, it only reflected the topics. Which is all the headings. Why is there no subtitles of postings for the last 12 hrs.
The same thing appeared even when i click on tree view. Pls help me! Thanks!

I have another problem here... When I first came into the forum, i logged in using my username. It got registed at the top left hand column. However, when I selected the option of "Last 12 Hours", the system "threw" me out.. I hv to key in my username and password everytime I made a posting..
The cookie is activated, and this function worked perfectly well yesterday.. But not today... Appreciate if you could look into this. Thanks, Yan

You may like to try clearing the cached pages in your PC. Alternatively, you may like to try rebooting your PC like what Eileen10 did. Hopefully this would solve the problem.

On the top of your IE browser, you see "Tools". Click on it. Then you'll see "Internet Options". In the middle of the pop-up window, you'll see "Temporary Internet Pages". Click both "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files".
Close your browser and reboot your PC again. Hope this would help.

We've diagnosed and fixed the problem. Your username and password will be automatically filled for you once you've logged into your account. It'll no longer require you to re-type in your username and password after you've clicked on any of the "Search" links.
