Hi anyone here who's familiar with chinese wedding custom?how do a orphan without any relatives or siblings prepare? I need advice on Chinese customs wedding preparation. Do I meed to do guo da li? An chuang? Thanks in advance!!

Perhaps you shd discuss with future in laws? Most of the Guo da Li etc are parents' demands... If your in laws r modern, they may do without it. And they may also make things simple because you're an orphan? If still going ahead, just ping this forum as and when you need advice on specific stuff. I did a simple Guo da Li, hope I'll be able to help.

just to add on... you will still need to An Chuang, and this should be done by blessed couple. it can be your future in-laws if the date does not clash them. Guo Da Li can be done with your elders who brought you up or who had been taking care of you all these while.
